Jaden sees the mass of bugs and grabs Abe and his hound and makes for the door.
"Clear out! Get out the door! Lots of bugs!"
Jaden watches Morganist fiddle with the door and open the lock. Jaden shoulders his shield, swaping out his crossbow for his new axe on his belt. He moves up to the door waiting for everyone to readdy them selfs. "So, now that is taken care of, lets see what is waiting for us. Are we all ready"?
Jaden takes in everything that has happened in the last few weeks, thinking mostly about the battle at the witch's hut and how that could have gone very badly if not for Horz's touch with nature, and Keegan's blood lust(and big mace). He does not want to lead anyone into an ambush, but know waiting will do little. "For this to work, be need to make our enemy come to us. I think we should get a good view of what we are walking into, and pick our place of battle. Any other idea?"
Jaden eyes over the hoard that would slow a small army, and slowly looks over the battle axe that looks like it was made from scales. He picks it up and test the balince with a few swings. "I like the feel of this one. If you will, i will take this." Jaden steps back to the leader, with his old axe in his hand. "I would ask you keep this old axe here, it brought me luck. It is what i have left of my father.[/i]
Jaden takes all in all that is said, waiting for it to all sink in. He starts to thank the leader before Effin beats him to the punch, he really needs to slow down on the wine.
Hearing Morganist yap about Keegan's none drinking only comes to Jaden in one thought. "More for me", and he quickly flags over the liquide.
Jaden takes the skin, takes a quick drink and hands it to Effan
Jaden walks forward in a none agresive stance to sound of the lizard man. "We come to you with word on the black sickness and the bastard king Merlokrep. We make for his camp and hope to enter your's."
Jaden will take the 2nd watch, normal clean kit, small talk routine.
Jaden smiles as Hors speaks dog.... again. He wonders if gnolls would understand him, as he go about his tasks.
"The Lizardkin aproched use with open arms, and aided us twice over. There is no ill-tideings towards them or from them."
Jaden takes the frist watch with Faldor. In that time Jaden readies his kit for the next day while talking over the day with Faldor. If possable, Jaden sees if Keegan and Morganst can make a wide scouting of the area. Jaden is still not sure about the new rogue, but he is hopeing he is up to the task. Keegan will fill in the blanks if he does not meet the task.
Jaden walks as he talks with Keegan and Effan, keep his voice low
Jaden watches the event without a word, unsure how anything could live after what he just watched. He mutters a prayer to the old gods for the end to this horror "By the gods. I would not wish that upon the devils in the pits what i just witnesed."
Jaden is close to Hors, holding the shifter down. He looks to Effan with a huge smile.
Jaden helps move the wolf to the celler. Hopeing for some good chains bolted to the house or something that will not move easy.
The conversion with Hors and Morganist would have been very funny to Jaden normal. But haveing a werewolf tied, bound and sleeping three feet away can be a buzzkill.
Jaden sees Effans rope hit, and charges toward the beast. He aims to take the beast down. Half way there he also hopes he can get a hand holding the beast.
Jaden hears the bulk of what Effan and Faldor have planed, and plans to add in the take down. He sees Effan ready the rope, and drops his shield to his arm, and readys a strong bull rush after the rope hits. "Throw the rope Effan! Me and Keegan will put it to the ground! One way or the other."
Seeing Hors and Keegan in action, and a bolt go flying from the cart, Jaden snaps his crossbow to his sholder and send a bolt to the running form.
Jaden brings the wagon to a stop and looks around the little garden "Why are there not any kids out here?"
Jaden finshs toping the rotten tree, and then gathers the shells before leaveing. "Keegan. Effan. Might seem silly, but these shells might be a good buy for Laurel. Would eother of you want them?"
Jaden sees the tree across the trail, he brings the wagon to a stop, gets out and gives the old tree a look.
"Should not take long to move this. Keegan can i get a hand?"
Jaden hears Keegan coment and lets loose a huge laught "He don't know half of it. Keegan you don't have to be short with him." Jaden sniqers again, and goes back to preping the wagon with a huge smile.
As far as the story goes, would you mind if I proofread it? I'm sorry, it's just that I'm really anal-retentive about such things.
Jaden just smiles back at Faldor and begins to load the supplies as Cleff gets them ready.When he and Hors finsh loading the wagon half way He loads what is left in the cart. "That should work. It will give you some room for your equipment and not over work the mule. What you think Hors?"
Hearing Effan good idea, he takes a swig from his flask, and offers it to Faldor. "I think that could work, lets go have a talk. Well you do the talking, and i will get the wagon and do that heavy lifting."
"Hors, what ever became of that fox you saved from that hunter."
"Keegan, you got everything you might need, there might be some nice lizards to smash to a paste. Do you know how to cook paste?" Jaden smiles, and goes back to his sharping
Jaden makes ready his things, and spends his night close to his love. He rises at frist light, careful not to wake her from her sleep, grabs his things and walks into town, to meet with the group. Seeing Faldor, Effin and Abe "Good morrning" Walks past the mule, rubing it's back as he heads toward Faldor. He sets his shield and pack on the back of the cart, and sits next to Faldor "I see that you three at faster then us long legged types. Are we just wait on the other three and do we need to get anything before we leave?"
Jaden makes ready for the trip, refilling his bolts, grabs his crossbow surviceing kit and sharping stones. He prepairs his armor and his new worg helmet. He makes a trip into town to buy longspear for back up,and about 10 days of trail rations. "I will meet up with you all at frist light. I am going to prep for this trip.Do you need me to pack anything?
Jaden almost laughs at Faldor when he come out of the wagon wrights with twice what Jaden could have asked for, as with a the deal on the mule and horses. Jaden gives 25 gp to the deal. "You have to come with me if i buy a house. I will walk away with a small keep. I will sit lead wagon if i can offer Faldor."
Jaden hears the new plan, and nods in agreement. "I might beable to sell off that raft we used for at lest the cost of the wagon. Hors could you help us with the deal? Your family have dealt with the wagonwrights before."
Jaden listens to the new plan, and smiles to Keegan.
"Yes Hor, that little mutant of a lizard could have been the king's son, it seems to be skilled in some things." Watching morgantist pace
Jaden gets his air, pats Leo on the head, and returns to the healer's house, walking in right as Laurel is on the kobolds topic. Jaden looks around and then closes the door with a more then easy thud. "I do not wish to speak out of turn Laurel, but you should know what i have heard." Jaden recants the tale he heard from the lizard foke, keeping select details about the lizardmen to a minimal. He explans the king of the kobolds, Merlokrep tested this poison. The plan for the Hydra's Venom would be three times the power of the last. It would take a few weeks for them to harvest the ingredents.
Jaden smiles at Abe
Jaden walks outside past Abe, and sits down to get some air. He looks at Abe's mount/pup and hopes he is not relatied to the worg he is wearing.
Jaden downs his vile. Fights all urges to send it back up, and somehow keeps it down. "That ...... is horable. But it works."
Jaden puts his gloves on, and picks up the bag carfully "I think we should take the over to he healer, we might need her knowleage with the poison. I have no idea if touching it will affect us, so Faldor and I will go in and see the healer, and take a shot of her mix, just in case."
Jaden watches Faldor gain air as he exits the well "Well alest we could lift you out, how did you fair? Did you touch the bottom?
"I trust the informaion and that is all i need.Keegan only looking at everyone in town like he wants to eat them is good. Keegan just might do it." Looks at Morganst with a smile. "Keegan has saved the lives of everyone here a dozen times and more to the point, he saved someone the means everything to me. So if Keegan want to eat you, i will lead him my axe. If you want to find out what he is thinking, ask him or shut up and help Faldor in the well."
Jaden smiles at Faldor. "I was hopeing you would still go in the well, the package that lizard threw in might give us some clues to where it was prepared. But i will not have you go in there if you are not sure of it. That is why Hors is here." Jaden give Hors a good pat on the back "Hors you think you if we need them, you could get your otter freind to help use with the wells?"
Jaden give a quick bow as he turns and begins to catch up with the party. He quick goes to Effan and Faldor and recants all the info he just recived and he gave. "Seems our friends made good with that little lizard i keep Keegan from eatting, well worth it."
"This was all a test in a plan to kill the town off. Can you tell me anything about this Merlokrep? Does your elders know anymore of these kobolts?
Jaden thinks for a second for anything he should ask
