Background:

Ivan is a traveling historian. Originally from Aerenal, he disassociated himself from his homeland shortly after he began his travels. After decades away from home, he found wonder and fascination in the cities of Galifar, though he still views the non-Elfish races as little better than savages. His studies focus on the Outer Planes and their effects on Eberron and its races and history. One of his more wild theories is that Galifar I was more than mortal; that he was actually a Herald of the Silver Flame, for no mere human could have brought about the peace and prosperity that Galifar achieved. However, he also believes that the angelic being was tainted by Bel Shalor, the Lord of Dust imprisoned by the Silver Flame, and that it was the Demon Lord's taint that eventually brought Galifar's legacy to its knees.
