Background:
- Apprenticed with dwarven locksmith in Sandpoint (disable device, craft locks; will take Trapfinding as level 2 slayer talent) - this helped channel her anger and got her away from fellow troublemaking teenage orphans (a relief for the headmaster)
- Learned that under most people's anger or outward hostility is a layer of good, and that patience is sometimes required to reach that layer.
- Learned that some people are however intentionally cruel or take real joy with the pain of others, and that those often preface their excuses with 'it's not against the law to do this'.
- Volunteered for Sandpoint's militia where she joined warriors on patrols; there she learned the bow, the sword and how to track game and bandits. A fellow warrior also taught her the ways of the General of Vengeance, Ragathiel, which she gladly made her own and quickly sought more about in the various stores, temples and libraries of Sandpoint.
Build: will be mostly strength based melee character (two-handed bastard sword, power attack, vital strike) with a composite strength bow for backup range capacity. Both the slayer class and the Crimson Templar PrC have the stacking Sneak Attack and Studied Target class features, so flanking will be a favored tactic.

Personality:
Ionela is soft spoken, kind and patient. She takes a greater load of duties than anyone at the orphanage, and can hardly say no to anyone (except on days she goes on patrol with the Sandpoint militia). On a very few occasions in her youth, she flew into a rage after repeated harassment by some teenagers from town, and those that witnessed it mention her facial features veering upwards sharply in some kind of rictus, and her ears elongating backwards like some kind of sylvan creatures. She is deeply ashamed of these isolated incidents, and her usual amiable demeanor made the contrast of her unnatural rage even more troubling for those who witnessed the event.
