Description:
Iona is a young human female of mixed chelaxian and garundy blood with smooth, pale skin, flowing black hair and almond shaped brown eyes set in a comely face. Well groomed she keeps her poise regal and assured, her back straight, every gesture pre-meditated and her face still with a slight pout to her rouge, painted lips, charcol around her eyes and laquer on her fingernails. Dressed in flowing clerical robes of blue and gold she wears various jewelry of obvious worth, rings, earings, necklaces and bracers of worked gold and silver inlaid with precious stones, over a suit of well make chainmail armor. A scimitar is at her side and a light steel shield hangs from one shoulder. The holy symbol of Sarenrae, wreathed in live, flikering flame hangs from a ling silver chain, resting at her navel she covers her hair and face in a golden scarf to ward of the snow and cold the only thing marring the picture perfect of a princess holding court in the middle of a snow storm are the fur-lined leather boots on her feet.

Background:
Iona is born in the sandy deserts of Osirion under the first rays of the rising sun, aided by channeled energy, to a garundy warrior and a chelaxian paladin. Her childhood was spent in temples and monestaries dedicated to the Dawnflower, lessons of faith, magics and martial training predominant during that time. At an early age Iona marked herself out for greatness as she showed the favor of the Dawnflower, manifesting gifts of magic, chanelled energy and domain powers in a traumatizing situation when a group of marauders invaded a temple she was currently studying at.

Coming to her own Iona felt a calling to travel accross the inner sea to visit her mothers homeland, Cheliax, and it was there that her troubles started leading to her enslavement and subsequent travel to Irrisien. Though she did not arrive as a missionary she was nevertheless quickly identifyed as a Sarenrite and arrested for the nobles amusement. Escaping she made her way to Varisia and joined a band of mishaped adventurers who got mixed up in the death of the king and then the accencion of his Queen. Earning enemies with her frank and outspoken manner she felt that her time there was over and she continued her journeys of the world and headed to the Lands of the Linorm Kings.

Enduring the cold climate and people Iona tried founding a church of her own, feeling she had come into enough power to hold authoroty over a flock, but that was short lived as slavers decended on her fledgling monestary and carried her off. Strangely her conection to Sarenrae failed to manifest and she was easily overcome and carried to Irrisian but then in the most unlikely of place, the middle of a snowstorm, they returned in force. Now standing at the edge of the fozen river she stares at her pack with the distinct feeling that she is at a crossroads, where will her faith lead her now?

Personality/Beliefs:
Iona is firm in her beliefs in her goddess and her mission as well as in her abilities to carry out said beliefs. Raised in the comforts and cultures of Sarenrite temples around the inner sea, from Andoran to Garund, she views the barbaric customs of others with an air she believes to be motherly patience and calm, eagerly waiting to let the barbarians finish their quaint little beliefs so she can educate them in the truths of the Dawnflower. After all, beeing a chosen vessel of the goddess, no one is more sutable to the task than her. Though she's trained as a warrior of her faith she nevertheless holds true to Sarenraes tenents regarding redemption and strives to at least offer the option before resorting to the sword though she has had no training as a missionary.
