Fast Turn, using 4 spell points to cast Wall of Swords from her Grimoire, and the triggered version of Entropic Power. For the sword damage (8d6 -- 5d6 from the spell, 1d6 from the non-triggered version of EP, and 2d6 from the triggered version), the dragon gets an Agility challenge roll for 1/2 damage (which is 31). Both drakes miss.
"Nice shooting!" Kahtia shouts at Tess before summoning up a different spell, one the group has only seen her cast on one other occasion. "Hit it with everything you have!"
Weaving her battlemagic, Kahtia narrows her eyes at XIII -- perhaps if they defeat the dragon together some arrangement over Mouse can be struck. When she summons a legions' worth of flashing, spinning swords, she places it right through the middle of the dragon, but spares the clockwork that same fate. With the right placement, not only will the swords strike the serpent, but it will have to risk them again if it intends to come back towards the adventurers. Blood dribbles from the woman's freshly gashed thigh as a dagger flashes and she bolsters the spell with a casting of Entropic Power.
Meanwhile, the mage's two summoned shadow monsters continue to dive-bomb the monster, trying to gash it with their dark talons.
Wall of Swords Damage: 5d6 + 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6, 6, 3) + (4) + (5, 1) = 31
Shadowdrake A Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 3 + (1) = 11
Shadowdrake A Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Shadowdrake B Attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 3 + (4) = 8
Shadowdrake B Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Spell (Grimoire II): WALL OF SWORDS (BATTLE ATTACK 4)
Area A line, 20 yards long, 5 yards high, and 2 yards wide originating from a point within long range
Duration 1 hour
A wall of slashing swords forms in the area and remains for the duration. It totally covers everything behind it. When the wall appears, everything in the area takes 5d6 damage. A creature takes half the damage with a success on an Agility challenge roll. Creatures can move through the area, treating it as difficult terrain. When a creature enters the area from outside, or if it is inside the area at the end of the round, it must get a success on an Agility challenge roll or take 3d6 damage.
