As such, his deliveries are slow and he gets turned about and lost a couple of times. Should he somehow come across Barefoot Samms Toppin, he will also attempt to influence them by bringing up fishing stories and asking about their time at sea. If not, that will be his aim for the evening.

Hey, guys. I'm just going to go straight to the point, as ridiculous as it makes me sound, considering I JUST started playing in your game. I am going to have to drop out, at least for the next month, possibly longer. Due to our production being behind at work, this week they put us on OT for 10 - 12 hour days, 6 days a week til the end of the year. I work on an assembly line, and the OT is mandatory. This was unexpected, and I thought at first that rping would still be doable, and that I could simply write short posts for the time being. But, as much as I like the game, sadly, I'm finding that I'm not only exhausted, but feeling "brain dead" by the time I get home and that what time I do have is (understandably) desired by my wife and kids. I'm really sorry to do this, but rather than limp and struggle through and still end up letting you down, I thought it best to withdraw before things really get underway. And to be clear, it's NOT your game that's at issue, here. It's me. Again, my apologies.

It's sort of a nickname. Long story." The half-orc moves to the bilge pump, probing with his shovel, and then glances over to the manacled prisoner. "What the heck did You do to get locked down here??"

Harak wrinkles up his nose at the horrible odor of the Bilge, trying and just barely succeeding to not gag. He then raises his hands to swat at another insect before readying himself to attempt to ward off any further spider-drops. "Urgh. This place is horrible....are you even listening to me?"

Facedown on the floor, Harusk groans incoherently and strains to push himself up to his hands and knees when he hears the boatswain's orders. The half-orc's mind races, trying in vain to remember anything after the drinks and music...but to no avail. Squeezing his eyes shut hard, and then blinking into the lantern-light, Harusk coughs and instantly regrets it as he brain feels like it's trying to pound it's way out of his skull. "Oh, this is not good." he mutters. Still, familiar with the feel of a ship swaying beneath him, the smells of an aging vessel's hold, and adding that to the barking orders of an unfamiliar ship's officer, the druid comes to the easy conclusion that he has indeed been waylaid and press-ganged. Angry, but far from foolish, the half-orc takes on a resigned demeanor, knowing he needs to see what's what before he can show any form of resistance. Timing is everything. Harusk grunts as he uses the wall of the hull to push himself to his feet. Wobbly, the half-orc takes in the rest of the hold, and shakes his head slowly, and proceeds wearily to the steps as well. |
