About Halla Ravnhår

Siso kule kylessäni
Liku pieni vieressäni
En mie muista kussa koto
Kussa koto synnyinsija

Kussa iso ennen asu
Kussa emo ennen eli
Senpä tiiän senpä muistan
Että oli siinä koivu

Vaikka matka perin raskas
Vaikka matka mahoton
Saatamme sen silti tehdä
Saatamme sen tarpoella
Koivun oksil linnut lauloi
Nitten välis ompi tähti
Lintuja on näitä kaksi
Hepä meitä opastaa
Läpi metsäin läpi korpein läpi metsäin läpi
Korpein

Jos et jaksa siso pieni
Kannan sinnuu käsilläni
Jospa tunnet heikotusta
Kaikki vaivas poies pakotan

Taival tiukka matka rankka
Elä pelkää siso pieni
Täss on piha täss on paikka
Kussa ompi koivu pieni

Taival tiukka matka rankka
Elä Pelkää siso pieni
Kyllä kotomme löyamme
Synnyinsijamme selvitämme
Täällä koivu täälla tähti
Täällä koko perhe koolla
Sota ompi eilispäivä
Rauha koittaa huomenaamul

Spoiler:
Sister come besides me
Move next to me little one
I don't remember where's home
Where's home, our birthplace

Where father used to live
Where mother lived back then
That I know, That i remember
That there was a birch

Even though the journey is quite hard
Even though the journey is impossible
We might still make it
We'll do it by plodding
On the branches of the birch, birds sang
Between them is a star
There are two of these birds
They will guide us
Through the woods, through the wild
Through the woods, through the wild

If you can't walk little sister
I will carry you with my hands
If you feel weakness
All your discomforts I will force off

The journey is tough, the road is hard
Don't be afraid little sister
Here's the yard, here's the place
where is the small birch

The journey is tough, the road is hard
Don't be afraid little sister
We will find our home
Unfold our birthplace
Here's the birch, here's the star
Here's the whole family together
The war was yesterday
the peace will dawn tomorrow

This finnish song tells about old tale, where two children lost in a war make a journey back to their home. Only thing they remember about their home is that there where two birches, two birds singing and a star. They finaly made it to the home with the help of two birds (who presumed to be angels) and they are reunited with their parents, and the war known as a Greater Wrath has ended. Original sotry by Zachris Topelius, song by Korpiklaani.
