A follow up if anyone can answer.

How would something like enervate work against the shield if it were deflectable?

Ok sweet, thank you. The argument came up that was because it was stated as this.

You must be using a light, heavy, or tower shield to use this feat. Once per round when you would normally be hit with a ranged touch attack (including rays and similar magical effects), you may deflect it so that you take no damage from it. your shield suffers the full effects of the spell or effect, if applicable.

And so using the logic that because it explicitly states the word damage. That Ray shield would only be used in situations involving a ray (ranged touch attack) spell that has a damage component. IE: Scorching ray, etc etc.

So the issue is, if it does not do damage. Does Ray Shield work against it?

Does Ray Shield still deflect non damaging ray attacks?

In this instance, specifically, does Ray Shield deflect an enervate attack?
