Background: Raised by his human grandparents in the Petal District of Absalom. They were servants to a rich merchant family, Gronfallon would escape torment from the children of their employers in books; from a young age, provided he read quietly, he had the run of their library. A student of history, tactics, and magical theory, as a teen he found a place as a squire in the Order of the Tome. Imposing and yet erudite, he trained to be in the honor guard of the Knight Marshall of the Order, himself a highly placed officer of the Pathfinder Society.
