Description
Though Grimsby now walks through life as a goblin, he does tend to use his wizardry to hide this fact. Instead opting to put on the guise of a middle aged halfling man with slick black hair, a large nose and squinty eyes. His clothes consist of lightly colored, thick robes that both protect and conceal him within snow.
Grimsby's family, the Dulgo's, has been a well respected family of warriors in the land of the linnorm kings for many generations. His great, great, great grandfather was even said to have slain a fully grown dragon all on his own, the family has a running joke that whenever someone accomplishes something great they will say to them jokingly “But was it a Linnorm?”. Referencing how his grandfather was amazing for his action, but is always lowered using that phrase, as it compares him to the kings as a lesser person.
Grimsby however, fits in about as well as a Kellid tribesmen in the courts of Ustalav. He's weak, non-confrontational as well as an enormous bookworm, all this together bringing shame to his family due to his lack of a drive for martial skill. His sister Lorrie is the only other person in the family that was kind to him, the only difference between them being that his sister decided to become a priestess rather than a wizard, garnering her much more respect than Grimsby. In a bid to get away from his family for awhile and perhaps make some contacts he signed onto a passing group of gnomes headed to the sea, more specifically the floating Gnomish settlement Gogpodda. His thoughts where of coming up with a way too control the direction in witch the floating city floats, this endeavor ended before it even began, assailed in the night by bandits Grimsby and the group of non-combatants where quickly slain.
And there he laid for weeks, his body preserved by the snow. Some time later his body was found by the passing druid Adriana, who reincarnated him in order to hunt down the bandits whom had been prowling her lands for some time. After being revived Grimsby was appalled at what Adriana had done to him, he had been transformed into a goblin. He gave her the information that she wanted, she led him back to civilization and they said kind goodbyes to each other. Being a man of logic Grimsby couldn't bring himself to be mad at the person who brought him back to life free of charge. He did like life after all.
Coming back home Grimsby was meet with news that crushed his soul, his sister had died. Murdered. Seemingly by her fiance whom had been courting her for some years now. He only learned of this news through his fathers clenched teeth as he raged at Grimsby for the further misfortune he had brought upon the family. It hardly registered with Grimsby that he had been exiled, he was far to concentrated on getting away from the city... and getting even with his sisters murderer.
