Professor:
Professor Lorrimor was very helpful to Grigore. The money that he earned while working as a guard helped fund his helping the sick. The church and the professor both taught him that helping others had a reward that was hard to beat. The professor was happy with the way Grigore was getting his bombs to work.. At least that is what he told Grigore. Almost setting the boat on fire the first time probably had more to do with it. Professor Lorrimor had to be happy to not have explosions that could cause more property damage than whatever had started the trouble. Grigore knew his specialized bombs could be of help but he wasn't the best guard. Professor, I will miss you. May Pharasma guide you quickly to your paradise Grigore says out loud while thinking back on all the experience he has gotten while working with the professor.

Grigore:
Grigore is about as average as person in Caliphas in most ways. Trimmed scruff and short hair though a spot here and there looks missing, personal looks did not seem seem to be Grigore's main concern. The blue eyes and pale skin is a little too much at times for people who see him while his mutagen is in effect. Sort of makes his eyes look like they have a ghostly blue light of their own. He seems to typically be in a typical set of black lab clothes and hiking stick unless going outside the city then likely to have his backpack, chain shirt, and crossbow.

Life summary:
Grigore grew up at the orphanage ran by the clergy of Pharasma after his parents disappeared one night. The teachings were easy enough to follow but didn't resonate enough to capture his passion. Helping make the potions and balms was a different story though. Did not take long for the adults to realize he was too curious to be left alone. They worked out a way for him to help them get things prepared for the final mixtures. They allowed him to have some leftovers to do with as he wanted in an unused storage closest. As he became a teenager, the church decided to have him learn to shoot a little better (which helped him on throwing bombs as well) and that is how he met Professor Lorrimor. This allowed him to get some exploration and the clergy some temporary peace of mind.

During his time as a guard is when Grigore learned that fire was not really as good a tool when undead was likely to be seen. From the teachings of the Pharasma talking about corruption of the soul's path made him really think and work on how to combat this type of enemy. It took him a couple of more years working to get something that felt right. Hard to test without finding undead but he did get a gnome he knew from the orphanage to help him by building some small clockwork constructs since it seemed reasonable that melting would be the best option. While thankful to the church, Grigore knows it is about time to try and help rid the world of some abominations. He might make some money as well though won't tell anyone at the church about that unless asked.
