Gresham is a thirty-something Chelaxian man with the worn features of someone who has spent a great deal of time outdoors and intelligent eyes which seem to miss no detail. His clothing is practical, well-kept, and unremarkable with one exception: a long piece of fine cloth delicately woven with multiple colors wrapped around Gresham's left arm. The various weapons about his person (the most unusual of which is a Tian nodachi) speak to the fact that is able to defend himself. His speech is clipped and it is clear that his comportment is the result of careful study rather than natural ability.
He typically has a length of braided hair (from the coloring most likely his own) around his neck.
