Juna Kalaris is a Cirithian Khal Siid (the Khal Siid - “Blade Sistren” - is
an order of female warriors devoted to the warrior goddess Deisha
Tara).
As it is custom for the Khal Siid, Juna Kalaris swore an oath to protect
a Cirithian noble – Lady Vara Demesha, the daughter of Taegan
Demesha, a very rich Cirithian merchant prince.
The Demesha Trading Coster has recently sent a caravan from the city
of Taladh Miras in Cirithia to Phendras, overseen by Vara Demesha,
and Vara Demesha is supposed to take over the Coster's base of
operations in Phendras, from the recently assassinated Voris Chaldov,
a competent merchant working for the Demesha Trading Coster.
About a month after Vara and Juna arrived in Phendras, Vara was
kidnapped, and the kidnappers demanded 50,000 dret for her release.
Taegan Demesha reluctantly paid and Vara was released. Juna has been
ordered to track down and kill Vara's kidnappers and retrieve Taegan's
dret, but Vara's memories were erased and Juna has no clues to go on.
There are many rival merchant organizations operating in Phendras,
and it could be any of those, or any group of criminals with knowledge
of the Demesha family's fortune.
