Pyromaniac: Treated as one level higher when casting spells with the fire descriptor, using the bloodline powers of the fire elemental bloodline. Gnomes with Charisma scores of 11 or higher also gain the following spell-like abilities: 1/day—dancing lights, flare, prestidigitation, produce flame. The caster level for these effects is equal to the gnome's level; the DCs are Charisma-based.
Eternal Hope: +2 racial bonus on saving throws against fear and despair effects. Once per day, after rolling a 1 on a d20, the gnome may reroll and use the second result.
Weapon Familiarity: Gnome
Low-Light Vision

Class Abilities:

Cantrips
Eschew Materials
Fire Elemental Bloodline
-Skill: Knowledge (Planes)
-Bloodline Arcana: Whenever you cast a spell that deals energy damage, you can change the type of damage to match the type of your bloodline. This also changes the spell's type to match the type of your bloodline.
-Elemental Ray: You can unleash an elemental ray as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This ray deals 1d6 points of damage of your energy type + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

Feats:

Fire Hand (Goblin): You can wield a torch as a weapon without taking the nonproficient penalty and gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls with melee weapons that deal fire damage.

Traits:

Naturally Gifted: For unknown reasons, you have deeper reserves of magical energy than those around you. Perhaps you are descended from a family of powerful arcane casters, or maybe you believe this trait marks you as destined for magical greatness. Wherever the truth lies, you gain an additional use of one of your gnome magic spell-like abilities each day. This does not always have to be the same spell-like ability—one day you might use dancing lights twice, only to use the additional casting for speak with animals the next day.

Adopted:
Advantageous Distraction (Goblin): Like most goblins, you’re easily distracted. Unlike most goblins, though, you have a knack for being distracted at the right time, especially when it comes to avoiding pain. Once per day as a swift action, you can be momentarily distracted in combat—ducking an axe swing to inspect a toadstool, or stooping behind a tree to lick some bark and accidentally avoiding an arrow, and so on. When you activate this ability, you gain a +2 dodge bonus to your AC for 1 round.

Background Summary:
Gnomey’s Mother banished a fire elemental while pregnant but was badly hurt. When he was born he ended up showing an unhealthy fondness for fire. His settlement was attacked by goblins and his mother died. The goblins took him in as a baby. He grows up with the goblins believing he is one, until he outgrows them and leaves. He found the outside world to be so much different, and his goblin antics aren’t appreciated. He ran into a group of bards who brought him down to earth about his situation of thinking he’s a goblin when he’s really a gnome. He found out what his past was, and is now looking for his father. He finds out his father was a great illusionist and heard rumors there was one in the Pathfinder Society. He joins the Pathfinder Society to try and find him, hone his magical abilities, and find out where he fits into society.

Full Background:
Gnomey was born, by the name of Barticus Wizbot, to two well-known and popular gnomes. His father worked at the Arcanimarium, doing research into new and exciting illusion spells, while his mother was quiet the famous abjurer. She gained her fame from banishing back an Elder Fire Elemental that threatened her settlement, but the effort nearly killed her, and the unborn baby boy. Luckily, help arrived and she was brought back to health, though no one knew how the baby would turn out.

Barticus arrived, and he was the perfect bouncing baby boy. Extremely excitable and alert, he took to life with a joy, always a cute smile on his face. Many watched his growing up years closely, hoping to see some sign of their parents talent within him. Other than what seemed to be an unhealthy obsession with flames (Reaching his hand into fires, grabbing lit candles, ect.) no real magic seemed present. Everyone expected that he would have to learn magic the hard way then, probably attend the Arcanimarium where his father worked, so by the time he was two, he was living a normal life. Until…

The Goblinblood Wars started. Masses of goblins were invading everywhere, hobgoblins and goblins attacking everything they could find. Eventually they were beat down, but not before Barticus’s settlement was attacked. When goblins heard of an all gnome settlement, they disobeyed their leader’s orders and made a beeline for it. The gnomes were caught off guard. His father was off at the Arcanimarium, and so by herself, his mother tried to protect Barticus, but the numbers were overwhelming. The settlement was overrun and burned, and Barticus’s mother was killed, and dragged off to be cooked.

As the flames encroached the house that Barticus was in, a goblin found the poor baby boy. Oddly, he wasn’t crying, and seemed to be enjoying the fire, saying “Fira fira!” in baby talk. The goblin approached, licking his chops at this fresh little baby, after all, babies taste best. As he came upon the baby, out of the fire appeared an elemental. The goblin shrieked and tried to run away, but the elemental burned him to a crisp. When the other goblins arrived to the sounds of shrieks, they found the baby laughing and poking the burned goblin corpse. They were scared, what had this baby done? Afraid that if they left the baby to burn, that he would come after them, they took him from the house. As they looked at this baby in wonder, the baby clapping his hands excitedly as he watched the settlement burn, suddenly his hand burst into flame, and it randomly flew off from his hand and happened to hit a goblin, setting him on fire as he ran around shrieking. The other goblins laughed, along with the baby, and one of the smarter ones (obviously a female) realized that this baby was something unusual, that he liked fire as much as them. So oddly, and completely unprecedented, that goblin took him in.

Barticus was renamed to Gnomey, and given an upbringing all goblins deserved. Soon the Goblinblood wars were over, and the goblins were driven underground. He grew up with the rest, not realizing he was a gnome. Over time, his innate magical powers grew, as he slowly learned to control them, not like there was too much need too. It did save his life, for every time the goblins grew hungry, they looked to him, as a tasty treat. Luckily, the female goblin who saved him was a matriarch of sorts, who had her own magical powers to put them into submission. Most the time though, the goblins weren’t too hungry and so Gnomey was one of their own.

Sadly for Gnomey, he seemed to live longer than all his friends. As he was reaching adulthood, all his friends were growing old and dieing. As the new goblins rose up, not knowing Gnomey and his back story, things started to get worse, so he had to strike off on his own, which proved its own challenge. Gnomey had all the disgusting and annoying habits of a goblin, which he found didn’t sit well with most other people. It was also amazing how many people seemed to know his name, though they always seemed to leave off the y. He had many frustrating times trying to explain what his name was “What’s your name? Gnomey. No, I said what’s your name? I’m Gnomey. I know you’re a gnome, but what’s your name?” Needless to say, Gnomey wasn’t having much fun.

One night after being kicked out of an inn for trying to show everyone how big of a fire he could make, he ended up being thrown right into a group of gnome bards that were trying to enter the inn. He had always grown up with the notion that you eat gnomes, though he didn’t understand why he didn’t like the taste while others did; he ended up biting one of them. Well he was promptly hypnotized, and the bards decided to find out why this gnome seemed to be acting strangely. They took him out of the town and set up camp, making sure to have him restrained, because he took a pretty big chunk out of one of them. Upon waking up, and finding himself tied up, Gnomey was furious. He struggled as best he could, and tried casting a few spells, but he wasn’t able to move his hands. They asked him who he was, and why he wasn’t acting like a gnome, and why he bit one of them. “I’m Gnomey! Gnomes taste good so I eat them! Let me start fire!” Eventually after a lot of patience, and the continual denial of fire, they found out he had been raised by goblins. Needless to say, they were shocked. They tried to explain that he was a gnome himself, probably why he was called Gnomey, but he denied it. Not wanting to give up on a lost brother, then took care of him that night (Fed him, tried and clean him a bit, ect), which was the most hospitality Gnomey had seen in his life. He fought it every step of the way but they would have none of it.

The next day, they let him go, saying they wouldn’t try and keep him any longer, because they can’t help those who don’t want to be helped. Gnomey wanted to leave, he wanted to go start some fires, have some fun, but something inside him said he needed to stay, that some secret he didn’t know might be answered here. So he decided to stay on one condition, that he always got to play with a torch. He had grown up around torches, the goblins liked to use them to hit each other, and Gnomey had been particularly good at it. Since leaving he learned quickly that people don’t find it fun to be hit by a torch, but no one complained when he lit a torch on fire. They agreed. So Gnomey joined the band of bards, carrying a torch with him always, lighting it, putting it out, lighting it, juggling it, putting it out, lighting it.

During their travels, the anniversary of the end of the Goblinblood wars came around. The bards, along with many gnomes, made a pilgrimage to Gnomey’s settlement each year, because it was the biggest slaughtering of Gnomes during the war. When Gnomey got there, he felt a strange familiarity from the ruins, and then he saw his old house. Suddenly flashes of memory filled his mind, remembering that day, and that he had a gnome mother and father. He asked the other gnomes, if anyone remembered who had lived in that house. “Why there lived the Wizbots, and their son Barticus. The mother and son died during the goblin attack. The father left the Arcanimarium in grief, and hasn’t been heard from since.” He felt no remorse for his mother’s death, for he didn’t really remember her. However, he did have to wonder if his father was still alive. What would have happened if the goblins hadn’t found me? It probably would have been very boring, these gnomes do know how to have some fun, but they are too serious for me. I wonder if my father was fun? So Gnomey said good bye to the bard band, wishing them luck with life and fire, and set off in search of his father.

As he traveled the land, he heard rumors of a great illusionist among the Pathfinder Society. Wondering if that may be his father he went to the local lodge house. The person he talked to said that he knew nothing about that, and even if he did, he couldn’t tell an outsider. Gnomey knew this would be a good chance to work on his magic, and to figure out where he fits into society. He said “Where do I sign?” and thus he joined the Pathfinder Society. The Society brought him to Magnimar, and this is where his true story begins.

Personality:

Gnomey can never sit still. He’s always got to be moving, doing something, even if its jumping up and down in place. He also as an addiction to fire, he always needs to have fire near him. His torch works good for that, though it may be a bit small. If his torch goes out and he has no fire near him, Gnomey starts to have problems. He gets this twitch in his right eye, and will eventually have to start a fire, whether it’s acceptable or not. He is very excitable, always ready to jump on the next big thing even when the last one isn’t finished. He has no qualms about good or evil, mainly because he doesn’t think about it. His mind is always on fire, fire isn’t evil or good. He likes chaos from his years as a goblin, but since then he’s learned to temper himself, trying his best to not set fire to the rain.

Appearance:

Gnomey tries his best to look like a goblin. He wears a dirty red bandana on his head, covering his hair (flaming red) and the top of his ears. He’s actually taken the time to try and sharpen his teeth, though that didn’t go ever quite well and his grin is more creepy then scary. His flesh has a green hue, closely similar to a goblin. He’s somewhat on the skinnier side, still having a trouble adapting to “real” foods. He is exactly 3 feet, and has large eyes, the iris burning red. Whenever he casts a fire spell, the iris seems to turn to flame, showing his elemental bloodline.
