Seeing his new companion surrounded and wounded brings memories of an old battle to Giovanni, a victory won by his decision, one that took a heavy toll.

Grabbing both swords tightly he rushes, avoiding his companions, as close as he can to the enemy, placing himself close to the log to gain some cover and prepares for the enemy counterattack, as he says to the bandits taunting them:

Come and face me!

Double move to the scare next to the log if possible to gain some cover from the arrows (he doesn't know their origin but i suppose he saw them fling as well as the one hitting Garren)

I'm sorry it has come to this i hoped we could solve thing in a peaceful manner, now we have no choice but to fight, if we take out their leader we might be able to intimidate them into surrendering.

Despite his attempt to scout the battlefield Giovanni remains unaware that the enemy has support from atop the sentry towers.

Because of the distance between his opponents and himself Giovanni runs trough the field towards Garren and Salereon while drawing both blades from his back preparing to charge at the enemy once he regains his strength

Double move (40 ft) to a square next to Garren and draw both swords on the move

Turning to Garren and Garion Giovanni say´s politely

I have the impression that you guys have known each other for a time, ¿have you been on a quest together before?

Be careful if something goes out of hand send us a signal...

Giovanni says breaking the silence that accompanied him all morning, his mind still thinking in the wolfs.

¿They were hunting them or just sharing the road?, many times he had seen wolf´s, sometimes fought them, sometimes stared at them, as proud hunters they were, he always tried to learn from them.

Now in a hunting pack of his own, he wondered if he and his new friends were hunting something just like wolfs do.

As he is awoken in the middle of the night Giovanni´s clouded mind and numb muscles quickly remember his training, preparing themselves for the incoming action.

Moving instinctively, he slowly reaches both blades, always in close proximity to him, and gives a glance to his scale mail knowing he wont have time to arm himself properly.

As he realizes the situation he places his back to the fire, trying to place himself further from the fire in an attempt to draw the attention of whatever lurks in the night, ready to engage it.

Says to Garren as he goes to the pile of looted item ans takes one of the longbows

i´ll trade a longbow just in case, you never know when it´s going to be useful, in exchange i´ll leave my short bow for the market

He unpacks from his back his short bow and as he raises the bow he wonders who many men will die because of it, he knows he wont feel any doubt when the arrow is placed nor when it´s on flight, he learned long ago that things must be done when there are no more options, he only wished there was another way.
He straps his new longbow, banishing away the thoughtful face and regaining his normal easy-going stance.

Sure thing ma am we'll se that this men have a proper burrial, as for the equipment i belive yours is a great propousal so i agree, what about you guys?

Says turning to the rest of the party

Giovanni takes you hand and shakes it firmly, measuring 5´8 you are considerably taller that he is.

- Indeed we are, I hope you still have room for a couple more blades in your team, and about that shot, it was actually my partner's good aim she is far better at range weapons that i am.
-Anyway we should see to the bandits i doubt these are all of them and once they realize this group doesn't come back they may send reinforcements.

Feeling the battle is over Giovanni enters the ford looking for the victors of the recent struggle.
As he enters he recognizes the other heroes from the descriptions he received at the inn on Brevoy, and relived speaks to them in a familiar tone.

-Greetings friends my name is Giovanni and the woman still guarding outside is Veroca, we have been following your trail for the last five days, we both come from a village South of Brevoy and near the stolen lands, when we heard of this expedition we rushed for the city in hopes of catching up with you, despite we couldn't find you we did found the inn were you stayed, and since then we traveled day and night to reach you, we were about to get lost, if it wasn't for that elf merchant, I cant remember his name, we wouldn't be here, he was also kind enough to confirm that a group of adventurers was heading this way, and it seems we got here just in time to help you deal with this group of bandits.

Here is my back-story:

Born in village in the south of Brevoy, son of the town sheriff and the second of three brothers, trained in the art of combat and war by his father he excelled at two weapon fighting, soon he became an excellent town guard and leader, however he never felt satisfied, his was not meant to be the life of a guard , he dreamed of far away forests and adventures wondering what existed beyond.

He considers himself a righteous person living by truth, justice and honor, believes every person has the potential to be a hero and to do what he calls the "right thing", as a keeper of the law he understands that justice and forgiveness must always go together, placing life above all, he avoids killing unless he has no other option, besides from being a warrior he knows how to guide and coordinated others, inspiring them with his example.

His younger brother showed talent for the magic arts, and despite his young age was sent to the city, were he could train and learn to use his power. Meanwhile his older sister, a guard such as him, continuously proved her superiority over him both in combat and in cleverness, on the other hand his father at his old age remained the town sheriff, keeping peace with firm justice and a kind heart, and some would say with the help advice of Giovanni´s mother an ex-adventurer who enjoyed telling her family and neighbors the stories of her travels and adventures.

It was the day his father already a veteran of life and duty decided it was time to retire and leave his place to his daughter, that Giovanni realized two important things, first, his family would remain safe under his sister care, and second, that he couldn't stay any more, he had to find his path, his own adventures and dreams.
Shortly before leaving his father told him of an expedition to a new mysterious land, and suggested him to find and join the group of explorer heading there, as goodbye gift he gave him his old bastard sword, a used but still beautiful blade with the family crest on it.

Now with a purpose and a destination he gathered his belongings and said goodbye to his family and friends, promising to return one day as a true hero.

OOC: Giovanni is a naive and idealistic character, he has a lack of experience in real battlefields and despite knowing the nature of combat refuses to see its worst aspects, sometimes he is a little bit self righteous and ingenue, in general he will try to find peaceful solutions to problems. His main goal is to become a hero and make a name for himself however behind everything he is looking for a purpose, a reason to fight and overcome himself.

In time he will become a better strategist and a wiser fighter, understanding the nature of a hero/warrior and the purpose of one, realizing what his goals should be and what he should fight for.
