Background:

Gideon was born into a mercantile family and was sailing before he could walk. His father, Zachariah, captained the ship to ensure delivery and to make trade deals upon arrival. However, he was very devoted to his family so he took them with him. He was successful in most of his ventures and so he hired a small team of Marines to help guard the ship and his family if necessary.

Gideon was a curious boy throughout his childhood and teenage years. He spent time learning to sail, working with the ship’s surgeon, and training with the Marines. After several years sailing with his father they eventually made port at Bloodcove. While at a tavern, Gideon heard of the riches to be found in the ruins of the jungle. He took his leave of his father’s ship and promised to be home once he had made his fortune. With change in his pocket and adventure in his heart, Gideon stepped out on his own.

Rumor heard: The Caverns are only 2 levels deep and The Rope Bridges are rotted out and unsafe

3. What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)? Gideon is a broad shouldered man standing just over five and a half feet tall (5’8”). His hair is a reddish-brown with tanned skin and penetrating green eyes.
4. What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)? Brash and speaks his mind
5. Where was your character born? Where were you raised? By who? Born in southern Cheliax but raised aboard ship. Raised by his parents Zachariah and Elizabeth
6. Who are your parents? Are they alive? What do they do for a living? Zachariah and Elizabeth who were alive when he left. Zachariah is a ship board merchant.
7. Do you have any other family or friends? None known.
8. What is your character’s marital status? Kids? Not married, no children
9. What is your character’s alignment? Neutral Good, the law is good to protect people and planning is useful.
10. What is your character’s moral code? Basic chivalry combined with the golden rule
