If anyone wants to tend to the tiny dinosaur, they may do so. Medicine DC 17 or magic.

The stegosaurus is rather agitated. DC 15 Nature to calm. But is also still tied up rather securely.

Reminder, final goal is to get the stegosaurus back to Xila.

Skill Challenge: Round 3
Objective: Get the stegosauruses back into their pen and keep them there.

You can be creative and use any skill that you can narratively justify.

Special: You can forego your activity to herd dinosaurs to instead investigate the area (secret Perception check). You can attempt to do both herding and investigating, but each check takes a -3 penalty due to your divided attention.

Note: Using the same tactics on the stegosauruses has reduced effect. Using the same skill as you used last round runs into a -3 penalty to the check. With the wording, I am interpreting that to mean that your Round 1 actions can be used in Round 3 again without penalty.

Example skill actions and descriptions:
* Nature: Calm some dinosaurs and get them to follow you into the pen.
* Performance: do something interesting that causes some dinosaurs to follow you out of curiosity.
* Athletics: push or pull individual dinosaurs into the pen.
* Crafting: rig up guide rails to help corrall the dinosaurs into the pen.
But you can be creative and use any skill that you can narratively justify using.

Special: You can forego your activity to herd dinosaurs to instead investigate the area (secret Perception check). You can attempt to do both herding and investigating, but each check takes a -3 penalty due to your divided attention.

The enemy leshies all need one action to move into the room, so I am giving you all one action as well to use on moving, drawing items or weapons, activating abilities like Rage, or other such things. The only restriction on actions is hostile actions. Those will need to wait for initiative order. And the only restriction on movement is that you don't move past the farthest table.

◆ ◇ ↺

The glass domes are too heavy for the tiny leshies to lift on their own. They are also on the center of the table, so it will be out of reach for small creatures from the floor. You can climb on a chair or onto the table itself with no check and can push over the dome - where it will roll onto the floor and shatter with a satisfying crash - also with no check needed.

The chairs and table are difficult terrain. Which isn't as important when not counting time in actions, but will be useful information to know if/when combat breaks out.

◆ ◇ ↺

All of the tiny leshies have pressed themselves up against the glass enclosures, watching intently. When Popcorn calls out, your three friends start waving frantically. Some of the others start doing so as well. Which causes a low murmur to go through the rest of the guests.

I think, Pixie, you have been recording of spending hero points faster than you are actually able to. From what I am seeing from the history, and what you have regained as rewards for battles won, you all started the approach to the fence with 3 again.

Looking around the courtyard you quickly notice there are several tiny leshies trapped under glass dome jars on each of the three tables. You recognize Amie, Zitha, and Solyin immediately - but there are a few others that you don't recognize.

There are several ways of handling this encounter - though battling it out is the most straightforward. And the encounter is likely to devolve into hostilities at some point. The end goal is to get the leshies and get out. The guests at the party are not hostile and will flee from combat. Lady Constance is also a non-combatant and will flee from combat, though I wouldn't classify her as not hostile.

◆ ◇ ↺

LOL at nat 20s for both rolls.

Fengal and Cedar both make it over the fence and into the bushes.

◆ ◇ ↺

Also, probably useful to mention... There really isn't any penalty for failure on climbing over or squeezing through the fence. It just takes more time. Stealth check only needed once you are on the other side and only if you are wanting to stay quiet.

◆ ◇ ↺

After making it through the gap in the gate, Pixie ducks into the shrubs lining the inside of the wall. From there she can peek through the branches at the courtyard and its occupants. She sees there are several people nearby - all appear to be human, and all appear to be enjoying themselves and unaware of the new arrival that just came through the gate. Watching them carefully, she is able to give warning to the rest of the group if it appears that one of the humans will be looking in this direction shortly.

+1 bonus to stealth checks.

◆ ◇ ↺

The most obvious thing you notice about the plants is that none of them look familiar. They are clearly imported non-native plants. Chronography:Make your way to the manor of Lady Constance. No check needed.

As you approach the manor house of Lady Constance Meliosa you can tell that you have come to the right house from the sounds of talking and laughing coming from the private courtyard to the side of the building. The main fence around the property is not really a barrier to entry. As you come to the courtyard though, you can see that getting in there may be a bit more difficult.

The courtyard is walled off and has a solid gate - though the gate hinges are large and leaves a bit of a gap. The gate is locked.
DC 16 Athletics to climb the fence.
DC 18 Acrobatics to squeeze through the gaps in the gate.
DC 20 Thievery to pick the lock.
Stealth checks needed if you want to not be immediately noticed.
You can also knock or otherwise make yourselves known to the people at the tea party.

You all follow the directions to Rosentry easily enough. After camping near the road for the night, you arrive in Rosentry fairly early in the morning.

Compared to the forest, Rosentry looks very - crafted and sterile. Everything is aligned and even and on-grade. The roads are straight. The buildings are large and well built - especially the homes. The fences are all uniform. The yards surrounding the homes are huge, and the lawns are level and only grow one type of grass. And there are practically no animals anywhere to be seen other than a few birds that stop by hoping to find an insect or two - and apparently are going to be disappointed.

Thinking of doing a Gather Information action about what kind of person Lady Constance is, etc. What rolls do you need from me for that?

Nice. There is some basic information that you will get regardless of rolling.

Diplomacy or Society DC 16 to get more information that you are looking for.

Not much else to do in the town here other than RP of your own choosing.
Anyone you ask in town will know where Rosentry is and the directions to get there.
Travel to Rosentry will take the rest of the day. You will probably want to camp for the night somewhere and be ready to arrive early to the other posh town.

For healing, Cedar has Hymn of Healing and Fengal has Treat Wounds with a +12 bonus vs DC 15. I'll just handwave the healing mechanics here in town. You can describe it in game of course, but no rolls are needed.

Diplomacy or Intimidate check for flavor to convince Darius to surrender and call off his animated wax dolls.

But it is of course up to you if you want to go that route.

Popcorn, check my math: Rage gives you 5 temp HP, yes? the 4 piercing damage from the wax construct would leave you with 1 left.

And everyone knows how persistent damage works, yes?

Pixie telekinetically gathers a handful of random items from the shelves and tables nearby - a few dirty dishes, some jars, a few weights from the scale set, and a couple of gems of unknown price. Then blasts them in the general direction of the enemies.

Darius, stuck in the mud as he is, manages to avoid the worst of it. The wax construct, the wall, and the cauldron are not so fortunate. For several seconds afterwards you can hear the ringing of the cauldron being pelted, but it is otherwise fine. The wall and the wax homunculous both look a bit dented.

I go with the intent of ABP - anything that works under the standard rules and item bonuses also works with the potency bonuses. So using a Trip weapon will add its potency bonus to a trip attempt in place of the item bonus.
