FYI, the PDF for this scenario got updated. Here's some notes from Paizo:

  • Created a new file of three chronicle sheets, one for each vault, for player use. Each sheet sorts treasure by story arc.
  • Moved the existing chronicle sheet to the back of the file.
  • Added DCs for saving throws to the sidebar about check DCs.

I think it'll be fine. With Lasaraleen around, she can channel to keep people alive in the tentacles, and the ones out of the tentacles will have to handle the casters.

Of course, the caster dismissing the tentacles could be really good too. ;)

I've seen multiple rulings, ranging from "You attack the caster" to "You try to attack the tentacles ineffectually" to "It doesn't count as attacking you."

Which is why I'm curious. ;)

Confusion isn't too bad if most people save and then people don't get locked on each other, which hasn't happened yet. My real question is what happens with confusion when the black tentacles are "kind of" attacking them each round, since confusion states you attack your last attacker if you had one rather than roll... (Wouldn't apply to this round anyway since Confusion came after the tentacles)
