Swashbuckler Deeds:

Panache Points: 3

Derring-Do (Ex): At 1st level, a swashbuckler can spend 1 panache point when she makes an Acrobatics,Climb, Escape Artist, Fly, Ride, or Swim check to roll 1d6 and add the result to the check. She can do this after she makes the check but before the result is revealed. If the result of the d6 roll is a natural 6, she rolls another 1d6 and adds it to the check. She can continue to do this as long as she rolls natural 6s, up to a number of times equal to her Dexterity modifier (minimum 1).

Dodging Panache (Ex): At 1st level, when an opponent attempts a melee attack against the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action spend 1 panache point to move 5 feet; doing so grants the swashbuckler a dodge bonus to AC equal to her Charisma modifier (minimum 0) against the triggering attack. This movement doesn't negate the attack, which is still resolved as if the swashbuckler had not moved from the original square. This movement is not a 5-foot step; it provokes attacks of opportunity from creatures other than the one who triggered this deed. The swashbuckler can only perform this deed while wearing light or no armor, and while carrying no heavier than a light load.

Opportune Parry and Riposte (Ex): At 1st level, when an opponent makes a melee attack against the swashbuckler, she can spend 1 panache point and expend a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. The swashbuckler makes an attack roll as if she were making an attack of opportunity; for each size category the attacking creature is larger than the swashbuckler, the swashbuckler takes a –2 penalty on this roll. If her result is greater than the attacking creature's result, the creature's attack automatically misses. The swashbuckler must declare the use of this ability after the creature's attack is announced, but before its attack roll is made. Upon performing a successful parry and if she has at least 1 panache point, the swashbuckler can as an immediate action make an attack against the creature whose attack she parried, provided that creature is within her reach. This deed's cost cannot be reduced by any ability or effect that reduces the number of panache points a deed costs.

Battle Dances:

A Dawn Dancer is trained in the use of the Perform skill, especially dance, to create magical effects on himself. This works like bardic performance, except that the performances grant him and only him double their bonuses. He does not need to be able to see or hear his own performance. Battle dancing is treated as bardic performance for the purposes of feats, abilities, and effects that affect bardic performance, except that battle dancing does not benefit from the Lingering Performance feat or any other ability that allows a bardic performance to grant bonuses after it has ended. The benefits of battle dancing apply only when the bard is wearing light or no armor and is using a one-handed or light weapon in one hand with the other empty. Like bardic performance, battle dancing cannot be maintained at the same time as other performance abilities.

Starting a battle dance is a move action, but it can be maintained each round as a free action. Changing a battle dance from one effect to another requires the Dancer to stop the previous performance and start the new one as a move action. Like a bard, a Dawn Dancer's performance ends immediately if he is killed, paralyzed, stunned, knocked unconscious, or otherwise prevented from taking a free action each round. A Dawn Dancer cannot perform more than one battle dance at a time.

At 10th level, the Dawn Dancer can start a battle dance as a swift action instead of a move action.

When a Dawn Dancer uses the inspire courage, inspire greatness, or inspire heroics bardic performance types as battle dances, these performance types only provide benefit to the Dancer himself. All other types of bardic performance work normally (affecting the bard and his allies, or the bard’s enemies, as appropriate).

Rounds of Dance: 9

Countersong (Su): At 1st level, a bard learns to counter magic effects that depend on sound (but not spells that have verbal components.) Each round of the countersong he makes a Perform (keyboard, percussion, wind, string, or sing) skill check. Any creature within 30 feet of the bard (including the bard himself) that is affected by a sonic or language-dependent magical attack may use the bard's Perform check result in place of its saving throw if, after the saving throw is rolled, the Perform check result proves to be higher. If a creature within range of the countersong is already under the effect of a non-instantaneous sonic or language-dependent magical attack, it gains another saving throw against the effect each round it hears the countersong, but it must use the bard's Perform skill check result for the save. Countersong does not work on effects that don't allow saves. Countersong relies on audible components.

Distraction (Su): At 1st level, a bard can use his performance to counter magic effects that depend on sight. Each round of the Distraction, he makes a Perform (act, comedy, dance, or oratory) skill check. Any creature within 30 feet of the bard (including the bard himself) that is affected by an illusion (pattern) or illusion(figment) magical attack may use the bard’s Perform check result in place of its saving throw if, after the saving throw is rolled, the Perform check result proves to be higher. If a creature within range of the Distraction is already under the effect of a non-instantaneous illusion (pattern) or illusion (figment) magical attack, it gains another saving throw against the effect each round it sees the Distraction, but it must use the bard’s Perform check result for the save. Distraction does not work on effects that don’t allow saves. Distraction relies on visual components.

Fascinate (Su): At 1st level, a bard can use his performance to cause one or more creatures to become fascinated with him. Each creature to be fascinated must be within 90 feet, able to see and hear the bard, and capable of paying attention to him. The bard must also be able to see the creatures affected. The Distraction of a nearby combat or other dangers prevents the ability from working. For every three levels a bard has attained beyond 1st, he can target one additional creature with this ability.

Each creature within range receives a Will save (DC 10 + 1/2 the bard’s level + the bard’s Cha modifier) to negate the effect. If a creature’s saving throw succeeds, the bard cannot attempt to fascinate that creature again for 24 hours. If its saving throw fails, the creature sits quietly and observes the performance for as long as the bard continues to maintain it. While fascinated, a target takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat to the target allows the target to make a new saving throw against the effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a weapon at the target, automatically breaks the effect.
Fascinate is an enchantment (compulsion), mind-affecting ability. Fascinate relies on audible and visual components in order to function.

Inspire Courage (Su): A 1st level bard can use his performance to inspire courage in his allies (including himself), bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to perceive the bard’s performance. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. At 5th level, and every six bard levels thereafter, this bonus increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 at 17th level. Inspire courage is a mind-affecting ability. inspire courage can use audible or visual components. The bard must choose which component to use when starting his performance.

Backstory Personality & Description:
Backstory:
Gabriela has always been drawn to the arts, with a particular penchant for song & dance. After discovering the roots of her celestial ancestry, and a long moral debate over her exciting life of grand theft on the high seas, Gabriela left her life of pirating & fell in with her current group, trying to do more good in the world with her powerful wanderlust.

Her chaotic impulsiveness remains, however, and she's ashamed to admit she helped urge the group to make that vengeful sacrifice 6 months ago. She since regrets the decision, having recently devoted her blade to Sarenrae, finding redemption in the Dawnflower's teachings and connecting deeper to her distant Azata bloodline. While she hopes to spread Sarenrae’s compassion and forgiveness as a Pathfinder, it is truly the thrill of danger and a challenge beaten that drives Gabriela on. In this, she holds her companions most dear through the perilous life they choose.

Personality:
Gabriela is clever, and swaggers about with perpetual daring charm. She is, however, also rather brash & undisciplined. As most of her talents come naturally to her, she tends to trust her gut instinct. Unfortunately, her intuition is almost just as often wrong. Gabriela is a true thrill seeker, and jumps headfirst, with much skill & panache, into most situations. She has a recent devotion to Sarenrae and has adopted the goddess' teachings on patience & forgiveness into a sense of roguish honor.

Gabriela is a good person at heart, always seeing the best in others, but her impulsiveness and trusting nature often get her into troublesome situations where only her agility & the edge of her scimitar can get her out.

Description:
Age: 84 Height: 5’6” Weight: 136 lbs
Appearing more human than celestial, Gabriela's beauty is still worthy of song. She's fond of magically changing the color of her hair. She does this with such frequency that it’s difficult to tell that the young woman’s true hair color is an equally stunning stark white. Gabriela’s captivatingly deadly grace only adds to her dashing charm and physical beauty.
