Meraxes and Jasper:

Ishirou begins talking faster and more than normal. His speech is somewhat frantic and random, as if the words are spilling out of his mouth before he can stop them. "The map? It is the key to great treasure. But only half the key - I am in possession of the other half. That bastard betrayed me and stole half of it from me on his last tour of service aboard our ship. But he didn't realize it was only half. The fool. But I have mine. And if I had his, I would find the treasure. Which is here. I know it."

Meraxes and Jasper:

Ishirou blinks and then says, "The same."

Meraxes and Jasper:

"Fine. But be quick about it." Ishirou stares intently at you, waiting for whatever you're going to do.

Jasper:

You manage to remain hidden. The family they're discussing means nothing to you.

Meraxes and Jasper:

Ishirou narrows his eyes. "You would do magic on my mind? For what purpose?"

Jasper:

Can I get another sneak check, please?

Meraxes (and Jasper):

Ishirou eyes Meraxes warily. It appears he doesn't believe you. "Hmm...I...understand your choice. I am not sure we have any more to discuss - it appears your...relations...were more coincidental than I suspected." He scratches his chin before saying, "Why, may I ask, was Cercei so angry with you?"

Meraxes:

"I've never met the girl," Ishirou says. "I only know her father. Tell me, did you meet him? Did you ever talk with him of his youth?" Before you can answer, he adds. "Did he ever tell you of the map?"

"Yes. It is time," Ishirou says. He rises and moves to one of the tents. It is apparent he expects you to follow.

"So, what are your travel plans for tomorrow?" Ishirou asks. "Do you intend to explore more of the island?"

Dragolan smashes the rat's head. It dies under the weight of the blow.

Ishirou approaches the final rat and drives his sword through the sleeping beast. "Well...that was...unexpected," he says. [b]"I am pleased that our traps worked so well. I will make sure I do that again tomorrow. Now, was there talk of feeding these creatures to Sasha's pet?"

At Meraxes' outburst, Ishirou's eyes grow wide for just a moment, then his passive, calm look remains. When he runs into the tent, Ishirou starts to follow, but reconsiders.

We'll chalk it up as roleplaying, I think.

Ishirou hesitates at Meraxes' request. At that moment, the rain begins to fall. He says simply, "Would you prefer to speak out here or should we move under a canvas where others can overhear our conversation?"

Ishirou responds to Kalis. "Jask left about seven hours ago now. I would not worry until it starts to grow dark."

Dragolan:

You remember that malaria isn't contagious and that is contracted via mosquitoes.

It is approximately 6:00 p.m.

Ishirou nods at Kalis and indicates the unsharpened pile next to him. "So, did you discover anything of interest?" he asks. "We had an uneventful day - apart, of course, from Brin's illness. Sasha and I've already had time to lay some traps around the camp, should they be necessary. We still need to place some at the western side, as we wanted to ensure we ensnare you all upon your return."

"Are you thinking of going far from camp and travelling all night? Or will you just venture out a ways and return? I would prefer that as many people as possible be here once night falls, just in case...you are needed."

Again, let it be known that your GM is gracious.

Ishirou turns at Allia's words. "Those are simply rumors. I've heard stories from when Sargava was first settled. It is said that engineers erected a lighthouse on this island's southwest shore. The light was intended to warn approaching ships of the dangerous waters and, eventually, was to have been the first building in a small colony. The light and all plans for colonization were abandoned just before completion. The settlers claimed that the island was full of curses, haunts, and..well..cannibalism. But those are just tales told to frighten children."

Ishirou looks up at Kalis as he speaks. "You speak truly, Elf," he says. "I have lost my head since the wreck. I am neglecting my duty - much as I have done my entire life. That ends now. I will contribute as I can."

Ishirou's attitude shifts to Indifferent.

Ishirou is surprised by Allia's actions, but he lowers his sword. He is visibly shaken. "I'm...I am...excuse me."

He leaves the circle and goes to stand aways off. He sits on a stump with his back to the group and begins sharpening his sword.

"If no one else objects, neither do I." Ishirou says quietly. "Now, we need to set up camp. I believe Brin knows where to lead us."

"The captain was not a fool. Nor was he cruel. If this man is locked up, I believed he should be locked up." He pauses. "But this letter...I don't know. You do with him as you please. He is of little concern to me. He is too old and frail to hurt any of us - except perhaps the captain's...servant."

Ishirou moves to Jask and grabs him under the arm, forcibly lifting him from the ground. "We will determine what to do with you later. For now, if you want to help, sit here and say nothing."

Meraxes wrote:
"You're are correct. Her name is Cercei... Forgive me but I cannot remember her last name at the moment. May I ask what this is about, good sir?"

"It is as I assumed. She seemed to know you pretty well for you to not know her last name - which is Melantha. It is of little relevance. I...knew...her father in my youth." Then, a little too abruptly, he says, "It is just a strange coincidence. That is all." He turns on his heels and goes back towards the stern of the ship before you can respond.

Ishirou, coming from the stern of the ship, walks towards the group. He is looking intently at Meraxes as if debating to say something or not. This is not the first time he has studied him over the long journey, but the two have never shared more than a few courtesies. But today, he strides forward. "We have not truly spoken, but I believe I noticed you when came on board - or rather, I noticed the one yelling behind you. You did board in Magnimar, did you not? If I may ask, who was it that was yelling after you?"

Meraxes: Feel free to make up a name for the girl and her father. You can say as much or little as you want about them. But please give them a name.
