The two waves of filth wash over Tain covering him head to toe in nasty acidic gunk with the second wave knocking him off his feet. (Not a basic save so no damage on a save and no double on a crit fail. Crit fail will add knocked prone on fail.)

Goxomas dodges the filth wave getting none of the nasty stuff on his fur.

Perrik dodges the wave of filth that comes his way.

The orc manages to avoid both waves of filth keeping himself clean and minty fresh. If you forget about the rat he was munching on for breakfast.

Mikhail is not as lucky and takes both waves of filth head-on. The nasty stuff covers him head to toe and gets everywhere in his armor. The second wave even knocks the war priest off his feet. (Just 1 & 2 damage plus knocked prone from crit.)

Tain stands up and slowly slogs forward to critically strike the green creature with his smoldering sword, unfortunately, the hit seems to do only normal damage as the creature is immune to criticals.

Goxomas Stumbles into the room to flank the green ooze before striking it twice. The creature is done for and sinks back into the filth. One dead ooze.

Perrik steps forward and successfully slaps some bandages on Argigoth keeping the Orc in one piece for now.

Standing up Mikhail sloshes forward and calls upon his god to smite the creature with a divine lance. The divine energy easily strikes the creature wounding it.

Filth Wave ◆ Each creature in the area must succeed at a DC 17 Reflex save or take 1d4 acid damage and take a –10-foot penalty to its Speeds for 1 minute (on a critical failure, the creature also falls over and gains the prone condition). A creature can Interact to clean someone off. This decreases the Speed penalty to –5 feet after 1 action, or to no penalty after 2 actions. After using Filth Wave, the ooze can’t be used again for 1 minute.

The Divine lance easily strikes the creature doing damage to the green ooze

Tain swaps his weapon for the Sparkblade where he calls forth its magic to zapp the two oozes. A faraway ghostly sigh can be imaged as heroes use the sword. Both oozes fail their saves taking the full damage.

Perrik follows the others with his own divine lance attack and despite his poor attack it still hits the green ooze injuring it more.

Argigoth moves into the room and summons a gale of wind to blast the two oozes. The green one takes full force, but the blue one manages to succeed critically as it hunkers down taking no damage.

Celosia delays.

Both the Green and Blue oozo unleash a wave of filth that washes out from them covering everything in 20ft.

Tain is ready to finish clearing the outbuilds.

Argigoth munches on a fresh rat. Mm mm good.

Celosia is all twigs when it comes to crafting.

Mikhail eagerly slaps some new boards on the porch while Perrik is treating Goxomas’s wounds.

Once the group has finished 10 minutes of patching the porch and patching the monk, Perrik suggests they finish exploring the outbuildings.

Mikhail puts his woodworking tools away and readies for war.

Tain moves to explore the remaining outbuilding.

Goxomas keeps his eyes open seeing two of everything.

The old smokehouse is a weathered wooden building to the west of the main camp building.
Tain goes to open the door to the smokehouse the door creaks open on battered hinges, releasing a putrid stench. Racks for smoking fish fill most of the dark space within, some still holding scraps of scale and bone. A faint sloshing sound comes from a vile-smelling puddle in the center of the floor.

The worker assigned to empty out this shed either forgot or shirked that particular responsibility and the last batch of fish set in here to smoke has long since rotted into a sludge so foul that it morphed spontaneously into some kind of ooze.

The motionless puddle in the center of the storeroom surges up and toward the light, fresh air, and sustenance.

Mikhail and Perrik feel that the grave's lady is pleased that they have helped a lost soul move on.

Celosia has little need for the sword.

Moving outside in the early morning light, the group explores the outbuilding on the east side of the house.

A weathered wooden porch runs along the south edge of the fish camp’s main building, about six feet above the gravel beach. It wraps around the eastern side, where it also provides access to the camp’s largest outbuilding. Worn stairs, their wood beginning to splinter, ascend to the porch from the center of the southern stretch and at the southeastern corner. Thick spiderwebs hang under the porch and along the building’s eaves.

shards of wood. (Hazard avoided)

While Investigating the rotten floorboards the group spots a shiny dagger lost under the building long ago. The dagger has a +1 magic rune.

Continuing on after the hazard the group explores the Storage Rooms this square room holds shelves of boxes and stacks of crates. Nets, gaff hooks, rods, and other fishing gear hang from the walls. The filthy wooden floor is strewn with ragged scraps of sackcloth and gnawed bits of wood. Most of the crates hold mundane supplies suitable for use aboard a fishing vessel, such as sailcloth, rope, varnish, deck brushes, and some larger, heavier fishing gear.

Seeing Celosia looking wilted, Perrik pulls out his healer’s tools and goes to work on the plant restoring much vigor and vitality to the leshy.

Tain introduces himself and the group to Finley and tells him they are fixing the place up and that he is welcome to stay.

The ghost shrugs. “I can’t stop you, so yeah, sure.”

The ghost heaves a deep, mournful sigh that rattles the shutters over the window, then sits on the edge of the bed, their translucent form passing partway through the musty straw mattress. “I told her I’d put it to good use, you know? My grandmother. She had so many stories of adventure, and so when she left me her sword, I just wanted to make her proud. But I never got to become an adventurer! I went and drowned instead, and I know I’ve let her down.”

Is there anything we can do to help?:
“I don’t know! I just don’t know! I just wanted to put my grandmother’s sword to good use, go on a few adventures, and make her proud. But now I can’t even pick it up!”

Tell us more about your grandmother!:
“How kind of you to ask!” Finley grins enthusiastically. “She was great—a real adventurer! She was part of the Pathfinder Society, a whole organization of adventurers who go exploring all over the world. Every time I saw her upon her return, she had stories about fighting off monsters or dodging traps in ancient ruins so she could get to the most amazing treasures! But, well...” Here Finley grows sad and sighs. “I suppose adventuring is dangerous, too, and she didn’t come home from her last trip. Her friends came by shortly after and brought me her sword and told me she wanted me to put it to use. And I never did—I let her down!”

Where is this sword now?:
Finley looks from side to side, as though afraid of being overheard. “I hid it. Over there, where the floorboard comes up. I didn’t want the other fisherfolk to make fun of me or try to take it.” The ghost points to the northeast corner of the room.

Can we have the sword?:
Finley leans their head on their hands thoughtfully. “Do... do you think you might have need of it? Are you... adventurers, by chance? You could put it to proper use.”

The fighter taps lightly on the door. After a few moments of hearing no reply, Tain raps a little harder on the door just in case it didn’t hear him. The door must not be well bolted because the force of the knocking causes it to swing open revealing the room.

The light in this sparse bedroom seems to have a faint blue cast, and the air within is chilly. Wind rattles the shutters over the window. The wooden bedframe holds a moldering straw mattress and sheets, with a moth-eaten wool blanket folded at the foot of the bed.

Not seeing anyone, Tain takes a tentative step into the room. The faint blue cast seems to rush together forming a pale, wispy form of a young man in overalls made up of faint blue light. He is not threatening nor does he speak to the group.

Tain continues the discussion about introducing themselves to Finley. Olli has already gone to bed.

Olli having flown to a rafter cheers the group as they splat the last spider ” Good riddance those spiders gave me the creeps.”

As you clear the spider webs from the room you feel that that was the last of the big spiders you must worry about. Searching the room you find the table in this room has a small drawer, which contains a number of small, harmless spiders and a hand of the mage.

The main house is clear except for Olli and Blue Finley which Mikhail suggests leaving it be. It’s getting to the evening while you can push on to clear the outside storage and smokehouse you may want to plan where to camp for the evening.

The door to the northeast bedroom has a worn scrap of paper tacked just above the handle. The faded writing says, “Finley’s Room—leave ‘em be.”
(Do you want to open the door or leave it be?)

Behind two other doors the group finds a bedroom that is starkly appointed. A wooden bedframe has slats but no mattress, with a battered trunk at its foot. On the other side of the room is a small, simple table holding a ceramic pitcher and a matching, empty bowl. Tightly latched shutters over the windows block out the light.

Opening the door to the center room reviles a bedroom with a tangle of cobwebs that fill the room obscuring the details of the bed and table within.

Taiin is the first to step into the web covered room clearing the webs as he does, unfortunately he triggers an unseen hazard. A Noose at throat level made from webs snaps tight trying to snag the fighter fortunately it misses Tain.

Mikhail knows that Couatls are large, brightly colored serpents with feathered wings. Good-natured, these creatures aid mortals and oppose evildoers, but sighting one presents a momentous occasion—these magnificent, albeit reclusive creatures rarely appear.
The smallest members of the couatl family, Scalliwings resemble their larger kin but are roughly the size of a house cat, and an irascible mischievous streak tempers their kindly nature.
He believes they can speak common but that is the extent of his knowledge about these creatures.

The druid mentally agrees with Celosia that it's just a cat, but he has not shared that opinion.

It takes a handful of hours to treat Argigoth’s extensive wounds before the party is ready to venture forth once again.

Continuing from the dining room through the north door that takes some brute force to open you find a stone oven in the northwest corner marking this spacious room as a kitchen. Cabinets and tables line the walls, and a wide washbasin stands next to the western door. Several cabinet doors stand open, and pots and long-handled spoons lie scattered across the floor. Two doors stand in the east wall—one to the south, and a heavier door in the west wall. The shutters over the north window hang askew.

One of the east doors leads to the Pantry. Shelves line the walls of this narrow pantry. A few empty crocks and boxes are all that remain on the shelves. A heap of empty sacks and broken crockery lies on the floor.

Celosia and Mikhail notice that something has been in this area and has eaten all the remaining foodstuff left by the fisherfolk in the Pantry. Searching through the heaps of debris on the floor you spot a tiny tunnel gnawed between this room and the adjacent bedroom.

Mikhail notices a few iridescent scales along the tunnel’s edges and a bit of feathery down. The war priest associates this combination of scales and feathers with a type of goodly creature known as a couatl. Though most couatls are larger than a human, this hole is large enough for only a creature the size of a small cat.

Celosia thinks it is probably a cat that has been dining on birds and snakes.

Whatever the creature is it may still be living in the next room.

After an hour, Mikhail is more successful in treating wounds on Tain.

(Since there is no pressing danger I’ll hand wave the healing saying it takes a few hours to heal everyone fully.)

After spending several hours healing and cleaning webs from the front room, Tain is ready to continue with the room to the north.

Throwing the door open you find the fish camp’s dining room remains so full of cobwebs that it’s hard to see anything inside, and tiny spiders skitter along the silken threads. In the middle of the room is a large trestle table with benches along each side. A cabinet along the south wall holds a collection of tin dishes. The door to the east is unblocked, and the door to the north has several planks nailed across it. You make out two man-size spiders and one spider-looking humanoid.

Tain points to the closest building suggesting they start there. Celosia follows Tain searching for trouble.

Goxomas keeps to the shadows avoiding notice.

Mikhail and Perrik follow along keeping an eye out for hazards.

The fighter starts scouting as the group moves up the front steps and through the front door. The floors creak on hinges in need of oil.

The front door opens into a Foyer. This square room has one door in each wall. The walls have hooks for outerwear, benches, and boot racks. Thick cobwebs hang in the corners and some of the doorways. The webs are somewhat thicker over the western door.

Looking through the eastern door your group finds what looks like an office. A battered oak desk stands almost in the center of this dusty, damp room. Behind it, a row of cabinets lines the far all. The sole window is shuttered, but one of the shutters hangs askew, letting in a stream of light. Several stools stand scattered around the room.

Searching the room finds evidence and gear used in the camp’s administration, such as business ledgers, writing supplies, and even a small ironbound chest bolted into one of the cabinets, though this payroll safe is currently open and empty.

Treasure: Searching the office also turns up a writing set in the desk drawer, protected in a wax-sealed box from the damp air. In addition, the camp’s first aid kit is in one of the cabinets behind the desk. This red box holds four antivenom potions, two minor healing potions, two lesser healing potions, and a set of expanded healer’s tools.

The north door opens into a hallway with wooden doors lining each side of this U-shaped hallway. The largest of these stands in an alcove along the eastern wall, flanked by hooks and benches. Cobwebs hang thick in the southwestern portion of the hallway.

Opening the Western door from the foyer reveals thick cobwebs filling this long room, making it difficult to see the details of the room’s furnishings. Along the south wall is a round table surrounded by wooden chairs. Sturdy wicker chairs gather in a loose circle in the western half of the room. One door stands in the eastern wall, while another stands to the north. A sconce along the wall over the table is partially covered with a dark cloth.

Thick cobwebs fill the room making it difficult to see anything more than 15 feet away. You feel you are being watched, but you haven’t seen any foes yet. The webs make the entire room difficult terrain.

The thick forest begins to thin before the trail opens onto a long stretch of a coarse gravel beach, the shining blue waves of the Inner Sea rolling beyond to the south. A cliff rises along the beach’s northern edge. The largest building is a wooden house built on weathered stilts with a porch wrapping around the south and east and doors along the west, east, and south walls. A raised outbuilding to the east shares the main building’s porch, while three smaller outbuildings stand to the west. A drying rack and drying table stand near these western structures. Near the porch sits an old rowboat and weathered oar, pulled high to avoid the tide, and a pile of dirty fishing nets.

The buildings remain relatively intact, but they’re slowly falling into disrepair. (see map)

The only treasure the boar has is its meat regarded as a delicacy in many regions. It will provide three square meals for each of you before the meat spoils. You could take the boar back to Otari to sell for 5 gold, but it would add several hours to your travel.

Tamily related the story about the fish camp and how one of Otari’s residents built the fish camp about 50 years ago, looking to avoid competition in the fishing business. When the original owner retired, Tamily Tanderveil purchased the site. Having just finished her term of service with the Gray Corsairs, Tamily saw the camp as a safe, steady business opportunity. She ran the camp for several years, saving up during the busy season and closing the camp during the winter months. This past winter, however, she jumped on a new business opportunity—the Otari Fishery. With the success of her new establishment, Tamily hasn’t had the opportunity to come back and clean out the fish camp, and the camp has been effectively abandoned for the better part of a year now.

The fish camp is only about 1 hour more if you press on. (Unless two or more opt to take the boar meat back to Otari, I’ll assume you continue to the fish camp.)
