Some of the more technical aspects of the book include.
* 178 pages (170 pages of content + 8 pages of other)
* Full Color, but can be changed to text only using layers. Some headers remain.
* Full Layers for easy reading/printing if you so desire with Adobe 7x and higher.
* Links throughout the PDF will bring you to the pages you're looking for. If there's a reference to a specific monster or archetype, the link will jump you to it if you want.
And some more aesthetic/design-oriented things.
* Each monster (all 154) was playtested at its level and up to 5 levels above/below. This is the main reason it took me over a year to finish. I wanted to make sure the primary function of the book met expectations.
* Each aspect of the trainer class was compared to several other classes and playtested in a group of non-trainers (I loved my goblin Monster Trainer named Needs Friends. Cannot wait to play as him again). This is also how I tested the idea of growth (from an earth elemental to a magma elemental).
* The art was originally more in the pokemon style (see some of my earliest posts on Facebook and DeviantArt). After listening to feedback here and on the Paizo boards, we opted to ask the amazing Raynaldo Perez to go over everything with more detail and make it its own. Similarly, Jeff Porter, who did the cover art, did a truly wonderful job with capturing the feel of the world. I am very, very happy with the finished product.
* The game went through several stages, starting as 4e only. When I launched the Kickstarter initially, I was bombarded with questions of why I wasn't doing it for Pathfinder. Eventually, there was enough demand that I agreed; got some extra personal funding to do it and rebooted the project of my own volition (hence why I technically have...
Thank you Malcolm N for the praise and writing me into the book.
I would love to hear what people think about the Trainer that Malcolm and I worked on.

Awesome, so two people for a group so far. Just need a GM.
Hello,
My name is Cod ad I have been interested in playing Pathfinder for a long time now but I have been stuck being a GM. I was hoping of maybe putting myself out there and seeing if any gm is looking for players. I will be messaging some gm's as well but I thought if I put a thread up as well I might get more hits. Thank you

Well, I realize now that my comment is a paux pas and I didn't word it correctly. I apologize and did not mean to sound so harsh.

I am going to be striking out with a few friends of mine and create a 3pp thing. We still need people who can make and edit PDF's and make our ideas look good. Also, artists. If anyone fits that bill private message me and we will chat more.

malcolm_n wrote: Alright folks. I'm shifting gears completely on my project Mystical: Kingdom of Monsters to Pathfinder for the next 13 days. Already we've had some major updates, with much thanks to Cody Martin for his initiative in getting me to do so.
Today (4/5/13) I've got a preview of the Trainer Class and its archetypes. I'll continue to provide regular updates as we go, so please join us and help make this project truly as great as I know it can be.
The preview Packet is also still available for free at Drivethrurpg and will see an update today or tomorrow with this new information and some errata.
Thanks for the Shout out Malcolm. I appreciate it. I hope with my hard work and with the people of Paizo.com advice and help we can make a better product for the players and GM's who post here.

We have had the voting for the next project, but Wolfgang has been busy with a couple other items so he will probably be announcing the next project later this month or in February.
Since the last couple Kobold Press projects have been started on Kickstarter, it is pretty likely the next one will be too. Keep an eye on the website KoboldQuarterly.com and here on the Paizo boards watch the section for Compatible Products from Other Publishers for the announcement.
It sounds like you're pretty anxious to get involved right away so you should consider joining as a senior patron which gives you more opportunities to participate and also allows you to pitch ideas for the next project. That said, I personally found it extremely helpful to do a couple projects as a standard patron where I could learn about the process before stepping into larger roles. YMMV.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing you on the next project!
I would love to join in on something, anything really. I just hope it happens soon and I can find it.
Ok, so, I am not finding any patronage projects or anything like that so I am assuming I should go onto the forum and just make a patronage thing just like I did here or?
My google fu is pretty bad and when I searched Open Design it came up with website designing and stuff.
Kobold press, isn't that the magazine that stopped? :(
Hello,
I was just wondering, how do you get into a patronage project or anything that you give money to sit with a bunch of professionals and work on something that may be published?
Does this even exist anymore? I mean, I talkedto my friend Rone Barton and he told me that Patronage Projects don't happen everyday but I would love to get into one if there is one available. I'm very serious about publishing and working on tabletop roleplaying stuff and I would like to get in on one but tell you the truth it isn't advertized at all so if anyone else has more detailed information or anything like that it would be much appreciated. :)
Hello everyone,
I didn't know where to post this but I just want to get a group of creative people together to talk about and help each other with getting things down and on paper.
This is not for publishing or anything like that but I feel that people who want to get out in the industry who may have weaknesses in some areas but are strong in others could really benefit from a group like this.
Hopefully this can go somewhere and who knows, people may just find a way to take the critique ad such from this group and go out and chase the dream of publishing for paizo.
Anyway, enough from me. Hope to hear from fellow creators soon. :)

OmNomNid I would like to hear more about the animator please. Contactme ASAP I would like to get your permission to maybe make it, and other things, into base classes that I can publish alongside you for my Third Party Consignment.
So, who wants an Advanced Race Guide II? I would love to see more for the Race Creation system since it seems kind of unfinished myself.
LV 1: Pick one Magical Beast or Animal with a Cr of 1, you may have this creature and it is similar to the ranger/Druids Companion.
Tamer: You gain Wild Empathy to all Magical Beasts and Animals
LV 2: Gain Carry Companion Spell 3 + cha mod times per day
All I have so far...
I am looking for something along the lines of a Ranger/Rogue or Rogue/Alchemist.
Carry Companion Spell would be awesome to turn into a class feature kind of thing.
I also feel that maybe making them have a lot of skills and such would be a good idea.
I also want them to be able to breed or create creatures as well.
If anyone else is interested please message me. I will be posting some ideas and brainstorms in a bit.
Hello everyone,
I am here to talk about creating a supplement for Pathfinder that has to do with Mon and Mon collecting. If anyone is familiar with Pokemon or Monster Rancher, you would know what i'm talking about. I would like to make;
A way to collect monsters and use them strategically in combat
Make a new class or Archetype that focuses on this
Make magic items or new alchemical items to help in doing this
Create a monster creation system or breeding system
And much more, but since I am new I am looking to get some help.
if anyone would be interested in taking on a project like this please send me a message asap. I would love to work with all of you on creating something I find would be a good and fun add on to the system I love the most.
Hope to chat with you all soon.
What spells are used to keep outsiders on the material plane?
Hey guys,
I was just hoping that I can get people who wish to join in the 2013 Superstar contest that may need help with magic items. Do's and DOn'ts and all of that.
This isn't for people to show their items, more of a thread for people who need to have some extra information or advice on how to make their entry.

Maybe in the new year, but who knows? This has been a long-lasting project, and we're just grateful that it's growing. We'd prolly be making this stuff either way, but it's nice to know it's actually seeing use >:3
Honestly, for my Summoner World project, I would love to use some of the MCA's in it with permission from you guys when I publish it. I have recently gotten my consignment and I need to have as much stuff for Summoners as Possible.
Summoner Characters take up 10% of the total world populace so having a lot of different kinds of summoners would be awesome.
Raiderrpg wrote: I work as a technician, so I does have a... 'knack' for it, I suppose.
It's on our list of things to look into, but don't expect it anytime soon. I'll post here if/when we get started on such a thing.
That would be amazing, maybe even make a Kickstarter for it. That would be very cool.
Raiderrpg wrote: We're nowhere near ready, but at some point we may be interested in such.
As it stands, the handy-dandy wiki is the only real consistent source, though we do have PDF's planned.
That said, I believe Hero Labs has an editor built in? If you find it easy to use that feature, let me know and I'll take a look into it >:3
I'm sure for anyone who has a knack for computers it would be easy. Me, i'm lost with that stuff.
they have tutorial videos that make it quite easy for normal people as well but like I said, it goes over my head.
Are you guys planning on having these be worked into Herolab? My friends and I would love to use them in normal games we run. Especially now that we know what they are and how they work.
For a long time we thought that you had to multiclass literally and we didn't understand why there were 20 levels and what not if that was the case.
Thank you guys again for clearing thta up. Many thanks.
Hello, i'm sorry to bother you guys but I am so lost when it comes to these MCA's.
If it is multiclass why are there 20 levels? Doesn't normal Pathfinder cap at 20?
Do you just take the primary class and this is literally just an archetype that combines the two?
Isn't this more similar to gestalt from DND then it is to multiclassing if what I think above is true?
I am trying to make a lot of new ones but if you guys don't have any ideas that's fine. Please, just post if you have something to add.
Hello,
My name is Cody and I, as well as a lot of my friends, find the Advanced Race Guides race creator is lacking a lot in Traits and Drawbacks.
I will be wishing for anyone who is interested to throw ideas for Traits as well as Drawbacks and hopefully I will make a 3pp to publish that is compatible with the Advanced Race Guide.
So, to start off this bad boy:
No Fine Manipulators: -10 to Sleight of Hand and Disable Device Checks
-2 RP
Long Legs: You may move 10 ft instead of the normal 5 when taking a 5 foot step
+2 Rp
Hello Owen,
I would like for you guys to make another book for summoners. I really enjoyed the last one and frankly, I am a summoner nut so the more summoner stuff the better. Extra Evolutions proves you guys can and will do justice to my favorite class.
Hopefully there will be room for Herolab versions as well.
I would also like you guys to tackle new racial traits for the advanced race guide. I am tired of making the same old races with the same boring choices. I want to have more unusual races: tentacles for arms, Weaknesses and maybe other drawbacks, things that will allow us to make more interesting combinations would be amazing.
Does anyone else have anything they can add on to my wants above for racial stuff? I just want more...
I will most likely be trying to make my 32 page world thing very soon. I am already getting close to having enough and I have two pretty awesome artists that will work with me for free.
I am pretty excited but I am hoping that I will eventually have enough information for each country and race.
Well, mostly, we would have to decide what to work on ad what not and right now the first thing I want to do is make a Gazeteer of The World of Tristaan, which is my setting.
Eventually, I will have it be a Spell Jammer Esq thing and we can do multiple planets and what not but right now the World of Tristaan is what I want to be fleshed out and completed.
http://pastebin.com/RrHHyMKs
Has the pastebin and what not and anyone who wants to look, edit, tear apart, go ahead. I just want to add more information and turn what I have into a gazeteer and right now this is all a few months of work has given me.
I want to sell it and such but as I have said before, I want everyone to be happy with what they are working on. I just am not filled with money and I don't have any income right now.
Well, even if I have to get a part time job to have to pay someone so be it, I get $60 a week from baby sitting but I'm a stay at home fiance. I'm sure I can try my best to pay someone if it is reasonable but I would prefer people to try and wait until I get products out so I can get my name out there and maybe pay them a percentage of the sales or something. I don't know, I'm incredibly new to business as I said before.
SmiloDan wrote: A Gazeteer (sp?) might work. Some basic info on some locations, some local races, and a mini-adventure. Yes, I would like to make a gazeteer out of the information I have in my pastebin http://pastebin.com/RrHHyMKs
It has a lot of info but it isn't nearly finished. That's why I wwas hoping to get help to make it a reality and I will be adding more and more info as I go along.
The first thing I want to get done is a 32 page book about my setting and all the information inside. Something like a players handbook or something to introduce as the setting most of my other stuff will tie into. I was going to do races first but sadly I feel that the only way I can get out there is by doing adventures and other things and to do that I need a setting. I don't know much about Golarian and feel my setting would be a lot easier to get out since I know every little detail of it in my head and have been trying to put it all into an organized form on Epicwords.com. It is a pain to try and sign up just so you can view the information so I have been copying and pasting into a pastebin with all the info, though, it isn't presented as prettily as I'd like.

Hello,
My name is Cody Martin and I have recently gotten my consignment to publish products for Pathfinder. I am extremly new to this and I am looking for artists, editors, designers, anyone who would be willing to jump in with me and get on the ground floor of The Ultimate Fiction Publications.
Now, I am willing to work with people and I will discuss payment or other things as we go but I am just starting up and frankly don't have too much funds. I am looking for people wanting to get their foot in the door and have their names on some projects to elevate not only The Ultimate Fiction but to elevate their own statuses.
Please, contact me asap if you are interested.
P.s. If this is the wrong forum, someone who is kind enough to tell me where I should post this would be very much appreciated.

-All animated objects have a slam attack equal to their size. Further more it treats it's Str and Dex scores as equal to it's animator's Int score.

-Animated objects cease to function if the animator dies, rests, or is made unconscious.
The animator can animate one object per Manipulation spent, up to their Int modifier in max.
Manipulation: Animator's poses special ways of sculpting their objects with a process called manipulation. A animator's Manipulation score is equal to their level plus their Int modifier. A animator must use one point from their Manipulation score to use To Life; any excess Manipulation can be spent as construction points. When a animated object is destroyed or dismissed, the animator receives the invested Manipulation score back. A animator knows all of the construction options from the Bestiary at level one.
Master's Hands: At 2nd level a animator may divert all of his focus into one of his creations. The animator enter's torpor, gaining complete control over the chosen object. The animator becomes stationary, but the following things happen to the object:
-The object gains all of the animator's mental attributes and posseses any of the feats of the animator, weather or not it can use

Epic Meepo's archetype gives up the Summon Monster abilities, while the Necromancers archetype gives up spellcasting. Both boost the abilities of your eidolon.
One character type I am considering for a future campaign involves a character beginning play as a witch, taking the Improved Familiar feat at 3rd level, and then becoming a summoner (with both archetypes listed above) at 5th level -- at which point she takes the Ajuoga feat from the Genius Guide to Feats of Multiclassing to gain a combined eidolon/familiar. This combination would make a formidable pet with a rather limited master (since her only magical abilities would be those of a 4th level witch).
Thank you so much, Archetypes are filled for me. Now, evolutions and other cool stuff and I'll be set.

Archetype - Versatile Summoner
Versatile Evolutions - at each level (including level 1) when a summoner would gain access to a new summon monster (or gate) spell like ability he instead gains 1 evolution point.
These points form a seperate pool and may be changed whenever the eidolon is summoned as part of the 1 minute ritual.
All other evolution points remain the same as per the normal rules.
This replaces summon monster spell like ability.
I love this one, but in my games I make it so that they can't change the evolutions every level or during a combat unless with the spell. I try to go for less evolution and more Organic or growing type stuff. That is something I wish I knew how to make into a new Summoner base class or archetype.

For me, I want to make a more Powerful Eidolon in exchange for getting rid of the Spell Like Ability to summon monsters other then your eidolon.
I was thinking that they could have these advantages over normal summoner.
They can save up and stockpile points
When they pick an evolution, they may not change it.
Any thoughts? Questions? Concerns?
Maybe in exchange for loosing summon monster, a summoner and get a 'evo boast?' Basically they get extra evolutions to apply on the fly based on the level of summon monster surrendered. Example: when a summoner would normally get Summon Monster IonI as a spell-like ability, they instead would get two evolution points to apply each time they summon their
eidolon. Thank you, but i'm looking for a simple, they gain +2 extra evo points in exchange for losing their SLA. Nothing too special really needed but I also need to figure out what else they should get due to taking off one of the primary things of the class. I was thinking maybe increasing skill points.

Many are close to being finished, and there is even some talk of trying to publish a PDF for them. I just wanted to run the concepts for them past the community and maybe even post a few of the class tables for review. So, long story short, tell me what you think!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------
-Blink: playtested in two campaigns and wildly enjoyed without seeming to be broken, the blink is a teleporting fighter, who gains access to supernatural abilities themed around mastering the space between spaces.
-Cadaver: also playtested several times, this is basically a class of fighters who remove body parts and replace them with special, homunculus prosthetics. This was originally a prestige class that eventually replace fighters in a campaign and evolved from there, going through many changes and revisions.
-Sennin: based off the sages of Orient legend, this class is basically a ki user that uses ki to manipulate their body and others. An alternate healer basically, but also designed to be good at buffs/debuffs.
-Astrologist: basically a druid with oracle mysteries, a astrologist looks not to nature to empower themselves, but the very stars, drawing strength and power from the constellations. Honestly, meant to basically be a druid but has had a new spell liost made for it with a lot of new space themed ones, like Comet Streak.
-Animator: puppeteers and golem makers, animators are a class that does not use spells but can use special magic to cause inanimate things to rise to their command. A NPC with a few levels in this served as my parties foe and got a lot of praise.
-Grenadier: a bit of a mix between the alchemist and the...
I'd love to hear about the Animator, please, that would be amazing. Keep up the good work. Email me at Just.a.pathfinder.gm@gmail.com if you'd like to chat there but no problems checking this thread as well.
This is what I have s far for the class, the first 4 levels.
LV 1
+0 BAB +0 fort +0 Ref +2 Will
Nugeneggs: Works as the eidolons class feature
except for these: The Eidolon does not get
desummoned when the Summoner is unconcious or
dead/dying. It does not go away when you fall
asleep. You may NEVER redo points for the eidolon
even at level up. You may keep a hold on evolution
points till later level to achieve higher
abilities.
2 + int per day +2 TO hit and +2 Damage
+1 per level
Level 2:
The Summoner Archetype may pick from any of the
following list of feats: Then list
Item Creation feats, Skill Focus, Master Craftsman
Level 3:All Craft skills bonus to equal their class
level.
Level 4: Extra evolution at 4, 8, 12, 16, 20
Shield Ally: Per the Summoner ability

The Educers are just average ordinary people and if they will get skill points as such. I see normal people having more skills and less combat.

Once you determine what the pet will do (mechanicly and thematicly) it'll be easier to decide what the rest of the class does/is like.
Do they use guns? Are they melee only? etc.
I was thinking that they would start with Simple weapon proficiency and maybe give a small list of bonus feats that they can choose from like:
Craft Potion
Martial Weapon Proficiency
Exotic Weapon Proficiency
Skill Focus
Extra Evolution
And just kind of go from there so they can make whatever they really want to play. From Skill Junkie to full on barbarian or whatever, maybe not rage but you know the kind of player. Guns would most likely be available as well as Common Place Gun rules in Pathfinder so it will be easy to find guns and ammo however it will not be so easy that everyone in the world can use a gun proficiently.
