Robin O'Meara wrote: "Oh. Any, um, interesting stories? Believe it or not, being captured by a cult is surprisingly mundane, at least for the most part. I never really got a chance to see the world before arriving here." "Well... Ooh, there was that one time I visited a volcano, and that other where I wrestled a bear, or that time where I went up a mountain so high I could look down on the clouds."

Robin O'Meara wrote: Robins begins wandering down the central hallway, gawking at the wondrous sights. Flourence follows, as slowly as she can- thst is to say, she darts up, stops and waits, and repeats, as she glances all around, barely able to hold still. She's running about, poking all sorts of architecture.

In my home village, we went from crossbows being the height of technology to steam power in the space of five years, and, well... what's that going to mean for the rest of the planet?" Florence shrugs. "I mean, the sim room might be able to take a guess?"

Robin O'Meara wrote: Robin's eyes widen upon seeing Florence's rapid transit, then sighs and follows after her, going down rarely trod hallways and passing by the cafeteria no less than three times before she arrives at the SIM rooms. Flourence is leaning on the wall next to one of the sim rooms, and when Robin arrives, she waves her in as she walks though the door.

Florence sprints off, moving inhumanly fast, from zero to over fifty mile per hour in a split second. She darts and weaves among students, often jumping and bouncing off walls to avoid them and landing right back on the ground, still running. nope, Florence has no way of seeing magic.

Robin O'Meara wrote: "Oh, right! The SIM rooms! I think I read about those on the guidebook. Might have. They also could've been talking about the magic classrooms. It was unclear. I'm not exactly acclimated to this kind of magic and technology, so most of it was gibberish to me until the words rearranged in front of my eyes which was rather freaky so I slammed it shut when that happened. Anyways, could you show me how those work?" Florence does some warm up stretches. "You know how to find your way around the school?"she takes out a map from her pocket.

Robin O'Meara wrote: Robin stares awkwardly at Flourence for a moment. "So, um. What is there, to, well, do around here? Other than commiserate about horrible curses because apparently that's quite a common thing in Avalon oh dear I'm being insensitive aren't I nevermind. So what is there to do?" "No, don't worry about it. I've noticed curses seem common here, too. I go on a lot of runs, or mess around in the sim room, most of the time."

Robin O'Meara wrote: Robin attempts to get up, stumbles, but eventually pushes herself back to her feet. "Woof, that one was a doozy!" she says, apparently completely unconcerned. "Those weird dizzy-sick-feeling-like-I'm-about-to-throw-up fits have been happening a few days since, well, y'know, I got kinda possessed but not really? Anyways, don't worry about it. It's normal." flournce raises an eyebrow, and nods.

Robin O'Meara wrote: "That's, that's, that's, um, nice!" Robin says politely, completely befuddled, before tripping and falling away from her roommate, falling flat on the hardwood floor of her side. "I'm okay! Just... give me a minute." Flourence fights her urge to help her up, and just stands.
Female Human (three-tailed)
Robin O'Meara wrote: "Nice to meet you, Flourence." Robin is apparently completely oblivious to the appearance of the tails. "So, um, sorry if this is rude or something, but why is your half, um... a, well... swamp?" "I like swamps." she says plainly, as if that explains everything.
Female Human (three-tailed)
Robin O'Meara wrote: "Um, it's supposed to help me readjust to society? I think? Being kidnapped by a bunch of crazy cultists for most of my early teenage years may have left psychological damage and I'm not making this sound better am I." Robin shakes her head and sighs. "I, I don't know either. I mean, again, I'm pretty safe as long as I'm paying attention and people stay a few feet away from me. I'm pretty nice, or at least I like to think, if you just ignore the endless rambling and I'll stop talking and let you go back to sleep now." Robin hangs her head, blushing in embarrassment. Flourence stretches. "hmm." she eventually stands. "it'll make it a bit odd, but I guess I'll manage. My name is flourence." now that she's on her feet her nature starts to become apparent, rocking back and forth constantly, nearly unable to stand in one spot. "hmm?" she shivers, a moment, and quickly hides her fox tails away, hoping Robin didn't see them.

Robin O'Meara wrote: Robin chuckles awkwardly. "Hi. I'm Robin. Your new roommate. And could you do me a favor and chain me to my bed at night? Eh, sorry, shouldn't have led with that and oh god things are awkward I swear I have a valid explanation." She takes a deep breath. "Eheheheh. Anyways, seriously, I have this, well, I guess the easiest term for it would be demon that's stuck to my soul that's getting desperate for me to succumb to sin or some junk and is trying to make me stuff my face at every opportunity. Oh, and um, please. Five feet away at all times. And never, under any circumstances, touch me. It may sound silly, but this thing is super scary when it gets its hooks into other people. Oh, and, um, it's apparently deeply entrenched in my subconscious because the school made a pantry and kitchen for me and crap sorry for dropping all of this on you at once it's just I think it's essential information sorry I'll stop talking now." Florence raises an eyebrow. ".... Uhm. So, why did the school put you in a room with a roommate when you're a potential hazard? Seems... Odd."she's barely awake, at the moment.

Tentatively, she crosses over into the swampy area, and leans down, clearing her throat. "Um, hey. Sorry, were you sleeping? It's hard for me to tell since I've never seen people sleep while sitting up before so sorry if I woke you up from your nap." flournce opens an eye. "hmm? Oh, hello. It's fine, I was barely asleep anyway. And who might you be?"
Female Human (three-tailed)
on the other side of the room, is what looks to be a small swampy area, with a strange girl cross legged in the middle. Her half of the room is rsther barren, lacking... Almost anything. No bed, no shelves, no dresser, nothing. She's wearing the usual green and white uniform, Green shirt and pants with white sleeves. Her long brown hair is rather well maintained dispite much to maintain it with. She has her eyes closed, possibly meditating.

I was mostly just pleasantly suprized to find out you don't really have to be going that fast to get blurred movement. At five meters, 17.5 miles per hour to achieve a speed that's hard to focus on, growing more and more indistinct as speed increases- but the farther away, the less this happens. Heck, you can see the effect by sticking your hand a few inches in front of your face and moving it up and down quickly, and try and tell exactly where it is.
I am in a strangely good mood for just having learned about another human limitation >_>
