Background:

Ferrous the third son of a proud Rockhome dwarven family recently finished serving another tour of garrison duty in Karrak. Ferrous has grown envious after hearing tales of his older brothers adventures in the world outside of Rockhome. His oldest brother. Stannic recently returned with sacks of gold and even a few coveted Mithral Anvils from adventuring in the Jotunheim. Tired of making a guardsman wages and bored of the lack of conflict Ferrous hired on as caravan guard determined to make his riches in the world beyond the mountains.
