backstory and personality:

Fenis was found by a Grig among the remains of a family killed by bandits. the Grig managed to attract the attention of a carpenter out collecting wood and led him to the house. A kindhearted man the carpenter took care of Fenis and taught him his trade, but Fenis never really felt at home in the woods and left home on a ship bound for Absolom, a ship that was attacked by pirates. After the chaos of the attack Fenis found himself on a slave ship. Fenis had always been a gifted healer and informed the pirates of his talents, hoping he would prove more valuable as crew then as cargo. Luckily his gamble paid off and he found he enjoyed life on the sea and the adventure that came with it.

It was the first time he'd been to Port Peril, and after stopping for a drink at a tavern called the Formidably Maid, Fenis heard shouts from the alleyway outside. Thinking he could help he ran to the ally, never noticing the thugs hiding nearby. He's been on enough ships to know a press gang by the blow of the sap on the back of his neck. His last thought was "Well at least I'm going back out to sea."
