Faldon stops singing as the balding man weeps, and for a few moments more (2 rounds), the eerie ballad still hangs in the air.

For a refresher from earlier: A bard with the countersong ability may speak the chant aloud (using countersong while doing so) to break the hold of the Tik Taan over any listeners. When employed in this manner, the cloth is a reusable item, allowing a bard to use it for as many rounds as he can countersong. Any humanoid affected by the mists who hears the chant gains another saving throw against the mist each round it hears the countersong, but it must use the bard’s Perform skill check result (any Perform skill) for the save.

While drawing out the venerable cloth, Faldon blinks in surprise and feels a surge of confidence as Cortina offers him the blessing of her diety.

Then, setting his mind to the task at hand, the dark-haired bard holds the cloth tight between both hands and begins the ancient war chant, his voice deep and serious...

Countersong/Perform save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Countersong/Perform save/2nd Attempt roll: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Obviously using the first roll.

Faldon takes in the situation, holding back from firing another arrow. "They're just too quick and nimble..."

The bard frowns, then adds, "Curses. I want to try and save my voice for the scroll Performances in case we need it. Ah well."

And with that, Faldon launches into a melodic but simplistic halfling war chant he had learned from a drunken stoutfoot gambler way back when he was a child growing up in his uncle's tavern.

Faldon moves slightly closer to the *kissing* head he'd previously hit, within 30' for his point blank shot and fires off another arrow.

shortbow, ranged attack: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 3 + 1 = 13

Did Faldon hit with his arrow?

With the scroll-like material safely in his pouch, Faldon had been (hoping) planning for more ape-enchanted men, with a thought of quickly settling the entire situation here. However, the sudden emergence of the flying heads literally made him jump!

"Gah!" He oh-so-cleverly said.

I'm unclear if this is a surprise round or not. If so, he's done. If not, Faldon will save his singing, and instead move 20' to the left, and fire his bow at the closest head-thing.

Faldon is sure that whatever this is, it is not an illusion; these poor souls have been transformed. It might be something like a transformative curse, but then again...

What would you like to do with your action?

Seeing the jumble of figures between him and the prone man, Faldon draws his bow and notches and arrow, pointing it at the 'man-ape' lying on the floor. Pointing the business end at his foe, the bard says, "The lady said Stay down. and I suggest you do just that, sir." To the others he adds, "As I said, I have rope. We could secure him."

Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Faldon will hold his action until the ape-guy tries to get up, at which point he'll fire an arrow at him.

The bard pulls out his rope, "Here, maybe we can tie that other one up..." All the while wracking his brain over what he'd just seen from the deceased man. What the hell was that mist, and the face?? Some illusion?

Faldon takes the bone-handled kurki so that it's not forgotten, then chuckles and mutters, Huh. Can't believe I almost forgot to do this..."

The bard then says quietly, "deprehendere magicae" and casts his detect magic cantrip, glancing at the kurki, and then around the room.

For effect, by the way, all of Faldon's incantations are simply the spell's name in latin.

Ok, so I've decided that, yes, Fhaldon looks weird typed out to me too. So I've changed it to Faldon from here on out. The F-h combo just looks odd. LOL

Faldon ceases his song, murmuring and humming just a bit, and it seems to the others that they can still almost hear the song...
Lingering Performance: Song lasts 2 additional rounds after he stops singing

"Sorry, no healing, wand or otherwise from me, yet. Going to have to work on that next time we're near a shop, methinks. Cortina, can you help him?" the Bard calls over to Ryul and the dwarf while making his way over to where Paloma was surveying the gear in the wreckage of ancient bodies.

Faldon says, "Here, let me see some of those...I wonder what era these might be...". The dark-haired young man is soon lost in his examination of the literal armory of weapons and armor left behind by the undead creatures.

Earlier: Not having an actual scarf of his own, Fhandon instead draws out a bandana and folds it quickly into a triangular pattern and ties hit to cover his nose and mouth.

Now:

"Oh, crap." Fhaldon says bluntly, blinking at the horrifying figures as they shamble away from their stands. Shaking his head, he draws his shortbow and moves forward a bit, positioning himself for a good shot and starting to hum and projects musical sounds from his throat before starting into a commonly known dwarvish-themed tavern song called, "The Long Brawl"...
Bardic Performance: Inspire Courage (Su): A 1st level bard can use his performance to inspire courage in his allies (including himself), bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to perceive the bard’s performance. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

HUGE apologies on the delay. Shouldn't be a concern from here on out. Just fit me into the initiative wherever you deem best.

So, who exactly is planning on a dip into rogue with their characters? With an actual rogue on the team, if someone else is gonna, I probably won't with Fhaldon. I will, however, if no one else is...

I fear I will not have much to work with, linguistically speaking. Pretty sure I only get Shoanti for being Shoanti, unless that is different for Core? And Druidic for being a druid, which I definitely can't teach anyone. XD

We could specify some basic hand signals maybe? Hold, Quiet, Follow, Charge?

I'm open to pretty much whatever, and have left one language spot open for whatever we decide.

Sauntering up and arriving when Paul does, Fhaldon refrains from attempting to pet the cheetah, however, raising his eyebrow when Jack does so.

When it's clear that the armored man didn't lose any fingers, the dark-haired bard shrugs and grins.

"Aye, we should get moving." Fhaldon motions to Paul, "Nice place. 'Wonder who does their decorating? Fhaldon chuckles, glancing about and taking each of the other Pathfinders, one by one.

I'm Fhaldon Hawke, by the way. Pleased to meet you all..."

This will be my (Ispen's) avatar, then, for the campaign.
Fhalcon's actually an alias that my bard has assumed because he thinks it sounds much more prestigious and heroic than his real name, (Burkan), which he doesn't like all that much.

Also, after some thought, I will be taking at least a 1 level dip into rogue when we eventually start leveling up.
