About Faithful of Aroden
Aroden is not dead! He will return to Golarion once the faithful unite under a true banner of honour and glory! Concepts that which only Taldor, once brought back to prominence, can bring!

Known officially as Earl Rannik Melanus, Rannik was born in to a young woman of the Malanus family (a noble house of failing means). Unfortunately, Rannik was the result of a scandalous affair between the Taldan woman and an an elven diplomat from Kyonin. Ashamed by his half blooded heritage, he was sent off to his father in Greengold where he learned the art of swordplay and elven culture from his father.
Abandoning his elvish home at the age of 15, he arrived back in Taldor, and was promptly welcomed by his human family (the arrival of a handsome half-elf son was now seen as a valuable commodity, ideal for sealing trade agreements through marriage). Fascinated by Taldan culture and obsessed with the dead-god Aroden, he devoted himself to the old ways, eventually being indoctrinated by the dwindling priesthood of Aroden as a paladin.
Now a young man, he was introduced to a potential suitor during a party intended to seal a trade agreement. Shocked by the decadence and corruption of the other family, he abandoned the gathering, deciding instead to serve Taldor from a distance, and joined the Pathfinder Society.
