Description:

Spoiler:

Evan is a tall (6'3") , dark-haired, stocky, blue-eyed, half -elf that bears more resemblance to his human father than his elven mother. He dresses simply in loose fitting clothing (breeches, boots and shirt) with a leather overcoat/duster on top. A wide brimmed hat to keep off the sun, along with the dirt and grime from the road completes the traveling outfit.

History:

Spoiler:

Evan was born and raised in the house of a minor, but extremely wealthy nobleman, Dominic Fallbrook. While not common knowledge, his mother was one of a few "guests" from his father's earlier travels/expeditions and not the lord's lawful spouse. They had been "joined", as his mother explained to him, in the traditional ways of her people. His father was an discerning businessman and a shrewd financier who held all in his employ to high standards. Evan and his mother were no exception. He was formally educated socially as well as intellectually, though he always preferred the free time to run, hide and get away with all the things the "commoners" were allowed to do. He had the good life until the eve of his 12th name day. The baron's son, who was his father's liege lord, arrived with his entourage requesting lodging for the night. Excited to meet these new knights and visitors, Evan dismissed many of the telling signs that would change his life forever. Evan awoke to noise and commotion in the pre-dawn morning, his mother in his room backpack and traveling bag in hand, urging him and pushing him out of his room and down the servants' passageways. He was hardly even awake when the cart left Fallbrook manor for Korvosa. He never heard nor saw his father again. Years passed as he and his mother scraped by in the outskirts of Korvosa only to lose her 4 years later to disease. With most of the money spent on a new house and lodging, which he had borrowed much from the seedy underbelly of the city's hidden ruling class, no money was available when debts were called in. He was forced to sell the house and work off his debt. Despite the harsh turn his life had taken he managed to survive and excel in enough areas to be deemed worthwhile to employ. Never satisfied with his new lot in life he has constantly pushed himself toward continuous improvement and achievement. He paid off his debt quicker than the underground expected, much to their chagrin. They refused to let him leave after his final payment citing that he was too valuable an asset and now needed to "provide them a return on their investment" since they provided him a lifestyle and means to live. Seeing through the never ending wheel of servitude, he fled Korvosa with his few possessions, memories and some heirlooms his mother left him. Namely the sword (katana) and a few manuals, scrolls and books from her cultural heritage.
