Traits
Ever Wary - Constant fear that your fiendish nature might provoke a sudden attack ensures that you never completely let down your guard. During the surprise round and before your first action in combat, you can apply half your Dexterity bonus (if any) to your AC. You still count as flat-footed for the purposes of attacks and effects.
Diabolist Raised - All your life you’ve lived within the grip of devil-possessed Cheliax. You care little for the religion of your country, but that is the way of life in the most magnificent empire in the world, and who are you to question the faith of the empire’s rulers? Certainly not a fool like some of your more idealistic acquaintances, possessed of bizarre ideals about personal freedoms and egalitarian rulership—who can say whatever happened to them? You know of Hell and the rigidity of its grim rulers, you’ve seen devils and how they might be employed to the betterment of those with the might to control them, and you know of the dark faith of your country. You might not be a devil worshiper yourself, but there are realities to living in Cheliax, and it’s always good to know what’s really going on behind the scenes. Your knowledge of diabolism grants you a +1 bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, and Sense Motive checks made against Westcrown’s nobility, and a +1 bonus on all saving throws made against mind- affecting attacks from devils.

Corrupting Touch (SP) - At 1st level, you can cause a creature to become shaken as a melee touch attack. This effect persists for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your sorcerer level (minimum 1). Creatures shaken by this ability radiate an aura of evil, as if they were an evil outsider (see Detect Evil). Multiple touches do not stack, but they do add to the duration. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier (5/day).

Background and Description
--------------------
Born in 4645 in Westcrown, Ettore's life has been rough. Though one would think having Infernal blood would be a boon in Diabolist Cheliax, the opposite tends to be true. Treated as a second-class citizen at best, Ettore has been forced to scrimp and save every coin he could just to make ends meet, and though he could pass for human in dim light at a distance, his obvious un-human features kept him barred from most employment.
Still, raised in a faith focused on his ancestral race, he took to abiding by the law at heart. He may have a slight repulsion of some of the more extreme acts his country does, but he was instilled with the knowledge that this was the only way to prevent more bloodshed and anarchy that had been rocking the nation to it's core for nearly 30 years.
Never too strong, but agile, cunning and decent health have allowed him to hold a number of jobs over the years. His favorite was when he was a scribe in the employ of house Ici for a year. He was replaced by the head of the houses (almost incompetant) 4th cousin, but it was about this time that he began to notice that he had powers beyond simply dousing light from an area for a short while. It's also led to his most recent job.
About two years ago in 4707, he was near the docks when, for whatever reason, his hands became doused in flames. Raising them in fear, he held them out to keep the flames from his body and a jet of fire shot forth. Thankfully all it did was scare some children, but the next time wasn't so good. Nodding off one day with his hand on his face, he suddenly felt a burning sensation on his face. His hands had oozed acid some, giving his right cheek a nasty burn scar. He's worn a mask since to cover it, deciding to don a (possibly Varisian) scarf and tricorn hat as well. But his fiery hands are what pays the bills.
He heads out of town on occasion for his work, burning bits of wood into charcoal in kilns. His hands set the kiln ablaze quickly and the time 'abroad,' has let his mind begin to wander some about his life. Always on edge in fear of being mistreated simply for what he is, yet a lover of order and discipline, Etorre feels that the government could change some to be more accomodating. He's come to accomodate it over the years, after all. But he isn't so much a rabble-rouser as simply one who wants a better life other than making charcoal. A nice government post would be real nice.
He has started hearing rumors that either one or several groups are beginning to form in the city for just such a reason, and even if it is in his sparse free time, maybe he could help and secure a somewhat nicer life.
