Estarra fugues briefly as she's overwhelmed by the situation No mechanics, just relating PLAYER losing track of things before taking stock and moving up.

Electrical Blast (v. Touch AC), Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 1 = 24

Damage If Hits, Point Blank Shot, Electrical: 4d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 2) + 2 + 1 = 12

When she gets within range, she threads the eye of the needle with a crackling blast of lightning, as physical attacks seem unlikely to interact well with the entity's current state.

If that does not hit, Estarra has a Folio re-roll with +2 stars, I believe. Botting Permission given for that reroll.

The grey-skinned person with glowing tattoos observes the situation and with an almost nonchalant shrug flings herself southwards Self Telekinesis with a very slight upward climb to get her feet off the ground.

'Up' 5', then 55' of movement 'south'. Currently 5' above the ground. Double Move

"This is sub-optimal."

While the party is regrouping Estara will be looking for Isa, to attempt to ascertain her well-being and location.

While not quite 'motherly fussing', the orcish woman will make sure that the best of care that can be provided to the priestess is.

GM:
Provided it is within the realm of possibility, fulfilling the secondary request made of Estara while doing so.

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

The telekinetic woman of orcish descent scoots along the 'southern' passageway, to get into position to move the unconscious *out* of immediate danger.

Double move

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Estara scoots 'south' to get some distance between her and the spiritualist with her companion.

Less for paranoia and more for splitting up the options for the worm to target when it surfaces next.

Move.

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Estara moves up.

She'd REALLY like to fling the bust at the worm, but given how tough the armor plates are in deflecting other attacks she falls to the standby of more arcing electricity heading at the worm.

While not nearly as effective as some of the other things aimed at the entity, definitely more optimal than an outright miss.

Electrical Blast (v. Touch AC), Point Blank Shot: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 10 + 1 = 22

Damage If Hits, Point Blank Shot, Electrical: 4d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6, 6, 4) + 2 + 1 = 20

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Estara had been holding back because she didn't want to raise too many questions with the whole 'bust of a thief' comparing to her and that whole socially awkward situation.

And to be honest, given the amount of discussion the rest of the team was having that seemed incredibly counter-productive to her she'd kinda tuned out before getting shaken out of her daze by the shaking of the earth.

Without thinking, really, lightning crackles around her right fist as she sends a blast scorching towards the now-evident worm -- though whether she catches it off-guard or not is anyone's guess.

Electrical Blast (v. Touch AC), Point Blank Shot: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 1 = 28

Damage If Hits, Point Blank Shot, Electrical: 4d6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 6) + 2 + 1 = 18

If caught 'flat footed' (tailed?) Sneak Attack (if applicable): 1d6 ⇒ 4

Regardless of outcome, she ducks behind some pillars to try and make the worm-thing's attack a bit more difficult.

Estara has been largely quiet attempting to figure out the conundrums presented but immediately takes off when she hears the quiet whisper of Message

Double Move

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

"I have no memory of being in this location previously. Perhaps they are in error or there is a duplicate entity resembling myself responsible for this situation?"

Going to check over our attackers/etc.

"We should be methodical and ensure completeness in our search parameters." Estara offers after a few moments.

"Having previously subsided on scraps for a portion of my existence, I can understand and respect the need to treat food with the proper respect. There are portions of Alkenstar where children have to steal the discarded crusts from inns and eateries simply to have something solid in their diet." Estara comments as she keeps working.

"Have you ever considered frying the skins from the potatoes to reduce waste further?"

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Estara has been even more quiet than usual. Though it is hard to tell, she's a bit spooked by something.

At the somewhat bizarre situation, the greyish-green will reach out and move a knife through the air with practiced ease to prepare some potatoes -- almost like she's done this a few times before or something

Telekinetic Finesse using a potato-peeling knife.

"A linguist should look at the bust." Estara mentions in a subdued tone as she heads over to the door and listens for any activity beyond the party antics.

Perception: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (1) + 17 = 18 Of course.

"Drusilla, south!" Estara bites out as she takes a step away from the active monk and starts crackling with electricity before letting a blast fly northwards at Yellow.

5' Step, Electric Blast (Yellow vs. Touch)

Electric Blast (Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot vs. Touch, Haste): 1d20 + 10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 10 + 1 + 1 = 15

Damage (if hits): 4d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5, 1, 2) + 2 = 14 Electric

@Inga: Estara has been on far too many Society missions where even one fatality amongst the opponents has resulted in a loss of Prestige and/or cost resources dear to the team to mitigate.

She would rather use a resource that is relatively inexpensive now than pay for it dearly when the mission report is provided.

In this particular case, the party is at such a DPS tier that we'd be leaving bloody splatters on the ground as the mist from our opponents settled and/or bled out.

She has been taking incredible risk and potential pain to herself by putting herself in reach of the opponents that she's bringing back up, because even worse than outright slaughtering our opponents in her eyes would be negligence and not attempting to recover 'hardware' for 'depot maintenance'.

EDIT: Have we even been injured significantly on this encounter?

EDIT2: The only reason she's been healing is because we have opponents that were in danger of bleeding out while unconscious. If the bleeding effects stop, then she doesn't have to put herself (or potentially the party) at risk.

EDIT3: Estara is not a 'bleeding heart' by any means. She is an adherent of the Whisperer in Bronze and is a firm adherent of 'repair/recalibrate' over 'completely destroy'. If someone is deceased, they cannot be 'repaired/recalibrated'.

Also a fun side OOC note:
Sometimes in earlier seasons there's a presumption of 'murderhobo ahoy'. It never ceases to amuse rolling into the final scene and the 'cover boss' makes some proclamation of 'you have murdered all my students' or something along those lines and the response is... "What plane have YOU been on?" or "Did you go behind us and murder them for their ineptitude?"

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Upon being given the salute, Estara nods politely to the monk not taking the AoO as it may have been an indication of surrender.

When Red gets dropped rapidly afterwards she audibly grits her teeth.

"Damage output exceptional yet more heal than wand method needed. Requires future re-calibration." Estara notes as she takes a step away from the monk in yellow to apply another healing touch to the fallen monk.

5' step, Kinetic Healer on Red, still threatening Yellow because Estarra has a whip in hand.

Kinetic Healer: 4d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 4) + 9 = 23 Again, giving the burn to the monk in the form of Nonlethal damage

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Seeing the monk in red becoming even moreso, Estara drops her carefully calibrated and considered course of conduct and instead zips (Haste) over to the fallen monk to try and keep them alive with a restorative technique.

Kinetic Healer:
Source Occult Adventures pg. 26
Talent Link Link
Element aether, water; Type utility (Sp); Level 1; Burn 1
Saving Throw none; SR yes
With a touch, you can heal a willing living creature of an amount of damage equal to your kinetic blast’s damage. Instead of paying the burn cost yourself, you can cause the recipient to take 1 point of burn. If you do so, the recipient takes 1 point of nonlethal damage per Hit Die he possesses, as usual for burn; this damage can’t be healed by any means until the recipient takes a full night’s rest.

If it works, she will attempt to heal the monk so they don't bleed out while unconscious.

Kinetic Healer: 4d6 + 9 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 6) + 9 = 28

Giving the target the burn if possible for 1 non-lethal per each HD

If for whatever reason that is not viable she will drop her whip and draw a wand as she moves and apply the wand to the target.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

As arrows start flying and things generally go in a non-optimal direction, Estara uses the opportunity of some distraction to hopefully get closer to one of the enigmas present and potentially alter the social dynamics of the situation.

As she moves she pulls out a whip, just in case.

Double Move, Green Arrow first move action, Yellow Arrow Second Move Action, drawing whip while in motion.

Apologies for being a bit absent, one of the side-effects I have been suffering since a major illness in March is an inability to focus and a loss of memory.

There will be efforts made to remain a bit more 'here'... and Estara really isn't the 'best' scout...

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

The ocean trip gets a quiet acceptance from the human of orcish lineage, with minimal commentary or even discomfort.

To Estara's credit she has been largely in the background quietly fiddling with this, that, or the other mechanical device of some sort.

None of them appear to work fully, and it has been taking a great deal of her focus.

She is *finally* shaken out of her reverie when someone mentions a statue in *her* likeness -- to the best of her knowledge she hasn't had something like that made.

She recalls a note she'd read recently but resists the urge to push past the rest of the party -- she is not nearly as stealthy as some of the team and a lot of her capability is better as a ranged option.

Quietly -- but not whispering -- Estara opines... "Two flaws with your operational suggestion. The first is your action will be unsupported. The second is that if they have an indication of my look it is possible they are watching for me for some unknown reason. It is perhaps not wise to have me speak, however."

Estara isn't awful at social stuff, but she sure ain't great at it. She also knows splitting the party is a bad idea.

The mechanic will keep an eye out for anything untoward when the party decides to make a move.

Perception(Take 10 if allowed): 10 + 17 = 27

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

Estara, having suggested investigating the reliquary/chapel will take a look around as well. She's rather methodical in her process, scanning over the area in a very predictable pattern with her eyes.

Perception (Take 10): 10 + 17 = 27 +1 for any traps that may be present

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

"Perhaps a direct investigation of the area where the item in question vanished from may yield further information on the matter?", Estarra offers after seeing the incredibly loud and overly (in her mind) circus arrive.

She stows her tools with a mechanical near-religious precision and hefts her haversack to her shoulders.

Dark Archive

F Half-Orc Kin 7/URog1

A slightly greyish-green person of orcish descent bearing strange tattoos which appear to be circles and lines looks up from the corner where she was fiddling with some sort of clockwork gadget.

"Does the malfunction appear to be in the wards or in the personnel tasked with maintaining the wards for this facility?"

She pauses for a moment, as if recalling something, the wheels spinning almost visibly in her mind.

"Apologies. I would be referenced as 'Estarra Potts' and am here to provide technical and calibration support as necessary for mission success. It is fervently hoped that we will not require a re-calibration of Pathfinder resources dedicated to this mission like some other operations I have been on."

"Further, do we have any time constraints or requirements beyond those stipulated and do we travel on Society-provided resources or our own? It is quite unlikely that our budget will support transportation castings on a semi-regular basis."

"My 'Daddy' - to use the familiar nomenclature - has been missing for three years now, and I am working with the Archive to find him. That, in addition to resources that Paracountess Dralneen has brought to bear to handle other matters of personal import has secured my allegiance.

It is hoped that continued research will eventually provide insight into his whereabouts."

Estara's adoptive father Hogan was possibly abducted by parties unknown, but it is currently believed that it was at least one of the factions within the Aspis Consortium that was responsible.

In fact, thank you for posting the question, because it made me think character background and I thought of something neat.

However, it does not appear to be related to the discussion topic at hand, so perhaps a re-direction of conversational energies in a polymorphic direction is in order."

We're sorry.

The operative unit known in colloquial as 'Wei Ji', et al, is currently off-line for Maintenance.

Issue: There was a logic fault in their Sarcasm/Syntax Array, and it is currently being given a hotfix.

Estimated Downtime: One Terran Standard Hour. We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may have caused.
