About Estaad V. Limprige

Estaad Varin Limprige the First: Explorer of Earth, Delver of Dungeons, Curious Combatant, Bringer of Bold Beltings, and Creature of the Long Dark.

Estaad was a curious young gnome of Whistledown. During his youth, Estaad often explored the myriad of caves and caverns in and around his home. He found the structures and sounds of the earth enchanting and endearing, to say the least. Ever adventerous, Estaad pushed his limits, delving deeper into the earth with each outing. One day he went so deep, he never found his way back out! Estaad wandered the subterranean world for decades. His small size and fledgling wizardry helped him hide and survive when needed. Estaad subsisted off of small meals he could find or conjure, and the many fungi growing beneath the grass. His magic helped extend his sustenance, and he learned to consume the essence of creatures found or defeated.

One day, Estaadd encountered a band of surface men. He must have come closer to the sky than he had in many years, to see any humanoids but dwarves and drow. The men were kind enough, more curious in Estaad than anything. As it turns out, they were pathfinders. Impressed by Estaad's story of go-getting, they offered to take him with them back to the surface. It had been so long since Estaad had seen the sun, so he agreed. He followed the men to Absolom, where he was trained and inducted into the Pathfinder Society. Estaad was ecstatic to have the opportunity to adventure around the world, though he spent much of his downtime back in Whistledown, wowing his family and friends with his stories of the rocky underworld and his more recent Pathfinder adventures. They always seemed a bit wary around him, though, with his multi-hued gray hair and relatively pale skin. That's simply what happens when you spend 60 years away from the light-- and it did wonders for Estaad's dark vision. Still, he held some resemblance to the horrid bleachlings, so he couldn't fault their apprehension-- even though he was nothing like those sad creatures.
