Focusing her Aura into key locations Esper causes thicker 'sheets' of aura to pool around vital areas on her body increasing her durability. The focused flow of aura to these locations boosts her speed and reflexes considerably. While her semblance is active she looks as if she's wearing Cream colored scale armor.

weapon description:

Sonjourn(glaive) and Wanderlust(shield/Vehicle)
A standard pairing of a shortened glaive and a heavily modified kite shield. Sonjourn and Wanderlust are Esper's pride and joy.
Wanderlust is an expandable heater shield which doubles as a skiff over most terrain, due to a compacted dust drive similarly used in hover boards. However due to the shield's size and weight it slides across the ground more like a traditional mode of transportation.
When expanded, Wanderlust extends in all directions using small pistons and plates designed to slide outward protecting the complex internal components. The large surface area is too flexible to perform as an adequate shield against melee attacks and high impact ranged attacks, but instead distributes it's weight more evenly so as to function as a sled. It features arm straps which turn and function as boot straps if needed, and also an extra tether for use when blazing across long trips or at high speeds.
The propulsion system feeds out to the bottom of the shield, where the point splits across the now expanded surface. The propulsion system can be modified by dust as well as function as an extremely short ranged cannon when needed.
When not expanded Wanderlust functions well as a medium sized shield with some limited blasting capabilities, it is still a pain to carry regardless of expansion.

The other part of this pairing Sonjourn, transforms into a medium range revolver chambered rifle. It's bladed edge is a soft blue tinted metal with a blood orange back flat edge.
The butt of the shaft folds into a simple stock resting comfortably into the shooter's shoulder, while the bladed edge flips upwards resting along the top of the pole to function as a sight as well as revealing the barrel.
The enlarged section just above the grip is where the dust chamber fits, providing room for the user to move their hands freely.
She often uses the Glaive as a rudder when engaging in dune-combat, not applicable with harder surfaces.


Misc:

Personality: Bombastic would be... a word to describe Esper, never afraid to backdown from a challenge. Her eyes are often bigger than her ability when it comes to things the world throws at her but you can't deny that she tries her best.
She can often be seen snacking or lugging around her large shield, she has a rather athletic build and her skin is tanned from many hours under the bright sun of Vacuo's deserts. She sports a short stubby almost polka dotted tail as well as clean though brutish teeth.
She practices using her shield Wanderlust as a tool for movement, riding it much like a surfer would, across the sands and different flavors of hard ground.
When not practicing, studying, or helping protect her mother's merchant ship, she can be found tinkering with her gear. She's glad to have finally moved out from her traveling home across the shifting sands, and doesn't plan to stay in one place once she's free to wander again. Because of her mobile lifestyle she's become quite adept at meeting new people and wedging herself into conversations even if just to listen or tell stories of her life abroad.

Background: Growing up in Vacuo isn't always easy, especially when you are almost always on the move. Esper, is the daughter of the fairly successful traveling merchant whom travels the sands of Vacuo aboard a large sand skiff turned mobile trading post.
Her mother Nepheline, raised her daughter while traveling around the land and attempted to teach Esper the ways of the humble merchant. However Esper wanted to be like her great grandfather Vinix a quote unquote 'hero' of the great war, she wanted to be a huntress. Though with a heavy heart, Nepheline let her daughter pursue her own path in life allowing her extended stays at the spotty primary combat schools across Vacuo, few that they may be. Esper took an interest especially in her weapon classes and took inspiration from her mobile home when designing her own.
While moving between combat schools Esper was able to hone her skills as a huntress protecting her family skiff from grimm and the occasional bandits seeking their goods. Thanks to herself and many hunters and huntresses that would offer protection for passage on the vessel they were reasonably safe.
Esper spent her free time helping to guard the Skiff and improving on her skills at Dune-riding. Her older brother, Cobalt currently attends Shade Academy, however she plans on attending Beacon academy to both get away from her parents and to explore the world and all it holds.

Casual Clothing: Esper sports a sand brown sleeveless tunic, she has a skirt hanging down to her knees however it's been pulled up, folded, and tucked into itself so that it acts as a half skirt covering her upper thighs. Underneath the skirt and tunic she wears a dark amber colored undershirt covering most of her arms, as well as similarly colored pants.
Thick tanned leather boots cover her feet, and a leather belt ties off her tunic at the waist holding her skirt in place as well. The tunic buttons up the side and has ornate flower patterns, mainly those of cactus flowers, dyed an orange along the trim.
She protects her hands with cloth gloves and light leather bracers. A pair of brown tinted goggles dangle from her neck as well as a short brown sash. Her hair is kept short and pulled back into a tight braid when grown out.
