Weapon and Armor Proficiency

Wizards are proficient with the club, dagger, heavy crossbow, light crossbow, and quarterstaff, but not with any type of armor or shield. Armor interferes with a wizard’s movements, which can cause his spells with somatic components to fail.

At 1st level, wizards form a powerful bond with an object or a creature. This bond can take one of two forms: a familiar or a bonded object. A familiar is a magical pet that enhances the wizard’s skills and senses and can aid him in magic, while a bonded object is an item a wizard can use to cast additional spells or to serve as a magical item. Once a wizard makes this choice, it is permanent and cannot be changed.

Elven Immunities: Elves are immune to magic sleep effects and gain a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects.

Keen Senses: Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks.

Elven Magic: Elves receive a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks made to overcome spell resistance. In addition, elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Spellcraft skill checks made to identify the properties of magic items.

Background:
Estancia was born a daughter of a diplomat. Her father was sent to deal with the River Kingdom human incursions into Elven held lands. The cutting down of trees was strictly forbidden and the humans have time and time again refused to adhere to the accords. So now the diplomat Jaydon Silvertree was sent to tend to the disgusting actions of these humans. The contingent of soldiers that went with him was strong and rightfully so as this was leading up to war, the hope was that a show of strength would force these humans to see that what they are doing is going to lead to nothing but bloodshed. The diplomatic contingent was ambush along the route by a strong group of humans. This group was put down efficiently and quickly but at a cost. The cost was the diplomat and four Elven warriors. The investigation into the attack was swift and precise with both arcane and divine magics being used to reveal the truth. That truth was that the humans had hoped that by eliminating the diplomat and his contingent, this would scare away any further elf involvement. The effect was the exact opposite.
A few weeks later Estancia's mother was giving birth to her second child, her first was a girl that was born well over a century ago. This was a boy and the labor was going as expected. The child would be named after his father. After the birth of her son, she bid her daughter a safe trip. Estancia's unit was being sent to the front lines. The war was in full with the humans falling back at every conflict. This will be over soon, as the war has seen the quick assault of every human settlement along the borders of the elven territory.
The Month Long War as it was being called was almost over when Estancia's unit The 3rd Argent Lupes entered the last stronghold of the humans. There the battle was over before the first elf stepped into the town. The humans have given up and their leaders rounded up. There in the center of town justice was met out. The man who ultimately gave the order that killed her father was brought out for all to see. Estancia looks the man up and down as she debates what steps she should take if any at all. She walks up to the man
A husband....a uncle....a brother.....and a father. That is what you killed that day. You gave the order and you will have to pay for that.The man spits in Estancia's face. She looks up at him and with a slight smileWhere is your family human....bring out his wife and child. Shouts of protest erupt from the gathering humans as the wife and a young man in his early 20's are brought forth.This man killed my father and therefore it is my right to claim his life. I do so with you, his family as witness.She turns and pulls forth her dagger and stabs the man in the gut, running the knife from his navel to his chest. Looking the man in the eyes as his life slowly fades away, the cries of his family echoing in the background. She turns and looks at the wife and son. Walking slowly towards them she holds the dagger up for them to see, the blood dripping slowly off the blade. I have spared your lives......please do make something of yourselves. Learn from his actions....learn what not to do. With the she drops the weapon and just simple walks away.
Estancia did not feel better after the war, just that she felt worse. She stayed and help her mother raise little Jaydon. She relinquished her post in the Forresters. She simple needed to heal from the war and the events that led up to it. Her mother said that she was troubled and needed to focus on something. Her mother was a practitioner of both arcane and divine magics, she hoped that the studies would help her daughter coped with her personal demons.
The decades past by and Estancia took the training and went in a different direction. She was able to see the Human infestation was never going to end unless that did something about it. The council refused to doing anything more and made in clear that she was to stop all talk of retaliations against the humans of the River Kingdoms. In the mean time her brother Jaydon has grown to become a fine young elf and has joined the Forresters. It has been almost two centuries since her father was killed and now a new threat emerges. The humans are a threat again and this time she will take the initiative.
