Background:
Emilia was born a eighteen years ago to Burton von Happledonk and Yuria von Happledonk, as their third child. Her parents were minor nobles in the grandscape of Absalom, the only real note they had to their name being some of the few halfling nobles in the city. They had already had a boy and a girl before her, Eugene von Happledonk and Velma von Happledonk. Both of them fit the noble life style very well, Eugene taking to trading with a passion while Velma happily settled into the quiet life. Emilia however... did not go along with the comfy noble life style.

From a very young age, Emilia was fascinated with the Pathfinder's and their adventurerous ways. She'd grab ladles and and candle sticks, pretending to be Durvin Gest dueling Mastrien Slash, or Sheila Heidmarch battling in the ruins of ancient Absalom. Her family took a very dim view of this, thinking she'd grow out of it. She never did, and as she grew older she grew bolder, adventuring out into the city and getting into all manner of mischief and 'adventure', staying out of harm only by a fair amount of luck and the skin of her pants. It started to take a toll on her parents, while her siblings simply looked down on her for it. Eventually, she asked permission to try and join the Pathfinder's, and her parents gladly accepted, wanting to get her out of their hair.

Her earlier antics compared nothing to the Society. Her “Adventures” did not prepare her for what they asked. She had a very rough time, trying to keep her restless spirit down and follow the orders of the masters. The only one she could stand for any length of time was the Master of Swords, with his bravado and wit. She chafed under the societies rules, wanting to get past the training and into proper adventuring without taking any of the necessary steps. It almost cost her, when she broke away from a group during an exercise into the Cairnlands and almost got herself and her group killed. They kicked her out of the training the day after.

She went back to her family, not subdued by this like her parents hoped, but even more determined. She would show them, she would become as famous as Durvin without their society! Her parents tried to convince her otherwise, even flat out forbade her from continuing this foolishness. But she didn’t listen, taking what possessions and money she personally had and left to make her name. Her first stop, Wati and it’s lottery, a real chance for adventure!

It was a long trip from Absalom to Wati, but eventually, she arrived in the city… late to the lottery. She wandered the city, asking around to see if it was possible in ANY way to get involved even though she had missed the lottery itself. Eventually, she learned about the auction and the adventuring groups that would be there. Being herself, she overslept and was on her way there when the undead began to attack. It wasn’t long before she was cornered and marched to a courtroom by the skeletons, once for a crime she didn’t actually commit.

Physical Description:
Emilia is an average sized halfling, standing at 2'8". A thick head of wild brown hair cascades down her back, overtop of an oval face with hazel eyes. Two (fake) gold hoops hang from her ears, and a red scarf surrounds her neck. A shining shirt of mithral covers her torso, with a sky blue tunic underneath. A simple pair of leather pants, a belt, and a sturdy pair of boots complete her clothing. Her short sword, a club, and her buckler are almost always by side, and she usually can be found carrying a backpack almost the size of her around.
