Solar Powered Weapon System (Starship): Select single weapon on starship with “laser” in the title. You gain a +1 bonus to damage rolls with the weapon. A gunner can spend an RP to increase the bonus to 4 for one round.

Automated Defenses (Starship): Once per starship combat, a science officer can reduce the speed of a single tracking weapon fired at your ship by 50% for 1 round. Declare this after it is fired but before gunnery check is made. Science officer can spend an RP to activate this boon again in a subsequent round or encounter.

Honorbound Allies (Ally or Starship)

Star Monster Slayer (Starship): You gain +2 on skill checks in a starship combat against an enemy living starship. Other crewmates on the ship without this boon gain a +1 bonus on their skill checks against enemy living starships.

Elminar approaches each combat with a bit of exhaustion as though, despite the initial surprise, he has already experienced too many battles like this before. He likes to move during the fight to avoid being cornered attacking from a distance using his pistol and magic. Unless the combat is already settled At the start of the fight he will hit single opponents with caustic conversion and magic missile on other rounds. If anyone calls for a specific spell, he will cast it for them, especially invisibility. If unable to retreat he will resort to using his knife prefering to save his spells for others.
