SPECIAL ABILITIES Solar Manifestation (Solar Weapon) Ebon has a mote of black darkness that orbits him. He can grab this and turn it into a solar weapon with the same ease as drawing a weapon. It is considered a one-handed advanced melee weapon that deals 1d6 slashing damage.
Stellar Mode At the beginning of Ebon's first round in a combat, he must choose one of three modes—graviton-attuned, photon-attuned, or unattuned. If graviton- or photon-attuned, he gains 1 attunement point for the appropriate mode. Each round, he either maintains that mode (gaining another point of attunement, to a maximum of 3), or becomes unattuned (losing all attunement points, and he can then enter a new mode on the following turn). If Ebon has 1 or 2 points in a mode, he is attuned to that mode. If he has 3 points in a mode, he is fully attuned to that mode. Some of his abilities function only when he is attuned or fully attuned to the graviton or photon mode.
When attuned in graviton mode, Ebon gains a +1 insight bonus to his Reflex saves.
When attuned in photon mode, Ebon gains a +1 insight bonus to damage rolls.
Stellar Revelations Black Hole (Su) [Graviton mode]
When you’re fully graviton-attuned, as a standard action, you can pull any number of creatures within 20 feet of you closer. You choose which creatures are affected and which ones aren’t. Each target must succeed at a Fortitude save or be pulled 10 feet toward you. The range of this Revelation and the distance pulled increase by 5 feet at 5th level and every 4 levels thereafter. Solid objects do not block this ability, but any creature that runs into a solid object ceases moving closer to you. Creatures moved by this ability do not provoke attacks of opportunity from this movement. After you use this Revelation, you immediately become unattuned. Black hole functions as a zenith Revelation for the purposes of abilities that reference them.
Supernova (Su) [Photon mode]
When you’re fully photon-attuned, as a standard action, you can deal 1d6 fire damage plus 1d6 additional fire damage per solarian level to all creatures within 10 feet of you. A creature that succeeds at a Reflex save takes half damage. At 9th level, you can increase the radius to 15 feet, and at 17th level, you can increase the radius to 20 feet. After you use this Revelation, you immediately become unattuned. Supernova functions as a zenith Revelation for the purposes of abilities that reference them.
GEAR DESCRIPTIONS Lashunta Ringwear (I)
This beautiful suit of heavy armor features engraved metal bands that fit above and below the body’s major joints. Metal guards, woven chain sheets, and force fields stretch between the bands to form a complete set of protective gear. Tinted crystals are often added during the forging process to the ore used for ringwear to create glimmering suits of different hues, but Ebon has opted for flat black with crystals of obsidian.
PULSECASTER PISTOL
A smaller version of an arc pistol, the pulsecaster sends a low-energy blast at its target. This blast stuns the target without dealing serious damage. Range increment is 30 ft.
STARKNIFE (TACTICAL)
Four tapered metal blades surround the central ring of a starknife, which can be thrown or used to stab opponents. Range increment 20 ft. when thrown.
Restraints (Binders)
Binders are simple, single-use, resin-cord restraints that can be placed only on helpless, pinned, or willing creatures (a standard action). A pair of binders immobilizes two limbs of your choice. A creature can escape binders with a successful Acrobatics check (DC = 20 + 1-1/2 × your level).
Titanium Alloy Cable
This 50-foot-long cable is designed for climbing or securing loose cargo.

Faction: Exoguardian
"The sword that seeks the darkness."
The Exo-Guardians have existed in various forms within the Starfinder Society for the past century. Dedicated to preserving the Pact Worlds from external threats, the Exo-Guardians work closely with the Starfinder Society, using the latter’s far reaching travels and discoveries to identify galactic threats early. While most of the original Exo-Guardians were involved in the mission to the Scoured Stars, a handful remained behind. They have since worked to reform the faction to serve the recovering Society.
Background:
Born with unusual flat black scales, Ebon was shunned by most of his clutch-mates, bullied and teased. He developed a tough attitude to this and took pride in his outcast status. He found the military discipline of the traditional Vesk society obnoxious. When he was 10, instead of joining the normal military training schools, he applied for and was granted permission to emigrate to a Vesk run religious order for training as a solarian.
The order worshipped Ibra, the Inscrutable, the formless, inscrutable deity of the universe's infinite, distant cosmological mysteries. Once he attained adulthood and first level solarian status, he departed the monastery for a mandatory stint of searching the universe for purpose and meaning, only returning for more training when led to do so. He settled in the Pact Worlds starting in Absalom Station. He earned his way as a low level bounty hunter, focusing on local miscreants wanted for minor crimes of vandalism, theft, and fights.
When he came across an ad for the Starfinder Society, he decided to enlist.
Appearance and Personality:
Ebon is a bit shorter than the average vesk, but still almost seven feet tall and strong and hardy. His scales mark him as different, all flat black instead of the usual green. This is a rare mutation similar to albinism in humans. It marked him as different and led to his eventual alienation from his native society. To function with species that tend to find Vesk intimidating, Ebon has learned to put people at ease with humorous banter and a tendency to quote popular music, poetry, and literary tropes.
