		About D'wain
"Anyone can die. It takes courage to live."
The early years for D'wain were relatively plain and simple, being raised by human parents until they both died of of a sickness when he was around 14 years old. Not really an orphan, and not really old enough to be on his own, he was adopted into the home of The Very Reverend Archimandrite Theosophus. Darwain, who's name became D'wain, was teased for his fair looks (his Aasimar traits), fawned over and flirted with by the local girls, and humiliated one occasion that made him feel like a monstrous fool. D'wain began to sense the disposition of human treachery, wickedness, and jealousy, and began to feel more alienated from the general human population. He knew he was different, and sometimes resented his heritage for all the provocations he endured in his youth.
He served as a groundskeeper for the local temple governed by Theosophus, which is what eventually led him to seek out training by a militaristic order of clerics. His devotion to the teachings of Iomedae and it's approval of use of force led him into the order of Paladins of Iomedae. Soon after being initiated into the order, he began a trial of training by a recruiter for the Pathfinder Society and eventually became a Confirmed Pathfinder.
D'wain disciplines himself to be a model of ethical standards and moral conduct. However, the diversity of companions in the pathfinder society has tested his integrity and personal ethics enough to cause him to be a little more reserved in his judgment. His revised personal code of conduct is summarized as, "Use good judgement rather than to be judgemental; judgment is in the jurisdiction of the law and of the gods." Life on the road as a Pathfinder often leads to areas of lawlessness and corruption, and even contentious conflicts within the Pathfinder Society, so he has conceded that sometimes he must be the representative of Iomedae by force.
