Kohr can't help but let out a laugh, before saying out loud," You idiots! Your timing is terrible! He knows pursuing his brothers, only to tell them he is leaving, will cost him precious time in his mission for the Order. With a heavy heart, and the hope that Maorii will only maim him instead of killing him, he turns Executioner eastward and rides for Dathtag's Keep.
Kohr lets her words roll around in his mind for an uncomfortably long time. Finally, he answers her. "Deanne, you know quite well that your father is not only asking me to abandon my duties, but my brothers as well. This is not a decision I can make lightly." He sighs. Then, after another moment... "Go. Tell your father I will accept his request. But, I need time to inform my father and brothers of my intentions. It is the right thing to do."
Seeing Duma's plight, Kohr kicks his warhorse, Executioner, into a charge. As he draws near the elk, he swings his Great Sword at the beast's neck!
"I'm in!" roars Kohr. "But, word of advice, little brother...don't bother trying to shoot it from a distance. Unless your aim is truer than mine was!" Kohr laughs heartily, then devours the last remnants of his meal.
It appears we will have a show with our dinner tonight, brothers. Either we will hear this epic tale of woe that has been kept from us, or father will kill Khaayne right here on the spot for being foolish enough to ask him to tell it." Kohr smirks and drains his goblet.
"Yes...manners." Kohr echoes, laughing to himself as he remembers Maorii eating the exact same way just a few days earlier. |
