Black hair with grey at his temples, not quite six feet tall, in his late 30's but looks older. Nose broken at some point and healed a little crooked. Armor is kept clean and well maintained but is clearly old and well worn.

Background:
David D'Amberville is a man with some real experience of how the world really works and that experience hasn't often been pleasant. Time and again finding himself at the wrong place at the wrong time he's feels as if he's always cleaning up other peoples messes over and over. A worshiper of Sarenrae, David grew up in Taldor where that faith is banned. He's had to hide his faith and practice in secret until joining a mercnary company and leaving Taldor at the age of 16. David has little use for formal worship or really formal anything. The more formal his speach and dress the more on edge and distrustfull of a situation or a person he is. David has felt the call of being a more direct servent of his God since childhood but has not answered as he was raised to stand up for himself, and not to ask for help for the little things in life. His experiences with 2 diffent "zombie apocalypse" events* are making him seriously reconsider his belief that asking for divine help is cheating somehow.

If Sanford's holy symbol is displayed:
“There’s a bounty on your kind in Taldor right now” he states to the grippli, “worshipers of Zyphus, that is not grippli.” He pauses for a moment ”hmmn, now that I think about it with all the bureaucracy there could be a bounty on grippli and no one would likely know.”

He shakes his head. “Still that was a bad business at the Opera House in the Capital. Men, women, and children were killed that night and rose up from the ground just moments later to come after the still living. The Emperor’s second cousin once removed was killed and then tried to eat the mezzo soprano’s brains. It made the Emperor take a personal interest in the suppression order for your faith, or so I’m given to understand. For me it was having to chop up the five year old in her pink party dress who was trying to take a bite out her little brother that made it personal.”

He pauses, takes a breath then looks the grippli straight in the eye. ” Listen up this isn’t Taldor and I get that your faith is dispersed to the four corners of the world, but if the stable boy slips on a banana peel and dies after hitting his head on the only sharp stone in a hundred yards, or a giant wheel of cheese gets loose and rolls over a little old lady crossing the street, or the local school collapses, or the dead start rising from the grave in mass…you and I are going to a have a problem.”
