I am really liking the Psion, my only beef if need both CON and WIS for Spellcasting instead of just one stat, I like CHA better for them, and I know the Ki Pool works with WIS, but the Ninja uses CHA instead so there's precedent.

I liked the feel of the powers, this looks really promising, and as an old time fan of the Psionics I can't wait to see the finished product.

No more chilling wind kissing my Fighters bare cheeks as he fights on through the goblins.

Hooray!

This Step Advancement seems really smooth and I really like the concept, I would very much like to use it in my up coming campaign if that's alright with you.
Well, it's available on my website, and the original version was published in Monte Cook's World of Darkness a few years ago, so I was hoping some people would use it. :)

I see, well thanks a lot! I mentioned to one of my players that we would be using a tiered system instead of XP and his face lit with joy and anticipation, and I believe the rest will react in a similar manner.

We loved XP, we loved it on videogames and on tabletop, but at some point it becomes really tiring, this system feels like a good alternative that let's the player still run towards that tantalizing carrot in front of him, but also allows a little more personal investment on the character, choosing which step would be appropriate to advance at every milestone, but without the feeling of need to kill every XP tag you can find.

@Frogboy: Give it no further thought, I realized Sean must have posted it online for a reason, but I have this exaggerated respect for ideas not my own so I wanted to ask anyways, for me it feels better to have direct and explicit thumbs up from the author than to assume it's ok because it's online, I guess you could say I am weird in that regard.

You need to train your dice. When they are just sitting there waiting to be used make sure they have the largest number on the die facing up. Dice have a "memory" and this will become their natural state resulting in the die wanting to go return to this state as often as possible.

Also before you roll rub the lowest possible number on the dice on whatever surface you are rolling on a few times. This makes a slight attraction between the lowest number and the rolling surface usually preventing major botches.

Good luck.

This will sound like senseless hokum to you OP, but heed this fellow player's words! They are wisdom and they are truth.

I didn't believe in this myself, I thought only the most cardinal rules of Rolling Dice applied:

1.- Only YOU can touch your dice, nobody else. If it must happen, you must let the dice cool off or even roll some numbers to shrug the outsider's taint.
2.- Aim at what you are rolling. "13 over, come on baby 13 over!
3.- Wasting good rolls on Initiative sucks.

I didn't thought the dice could be "tamed", much less trained, but two of my regulars have schooled me otherwise. The methods described in Obadiah's quote have been scientifically proved to be effective, learn the Way of the Dice and Master their inner wills with your own. YOU are rolling the Dice not the other way around!

Have steely resolve fellow player, you must endure in this, your darkest hour, you must tame the Dice and conquer your fears, only then can you truly strike true!!
