Edicts:
-Never fight without first offering the enemy terms of
surrender.
-Never refuse a duel.
-Act with honor at all times.
Challenge Bonus: When targeted by challenge, smite, quarry, etc, and issues challenge in return, gain +1 morale bonus to attack rolls v. challenge target and +1 dodge to Defense v. challenge target. Increases by +1 at 5th, and every 5 levels after.

Self-Reliant(Ex): If failed Will save for effect with duration greater than 1 round, make another save in second round. Success is treated as though first save was made. When brought below 0 HP, roll twice for first stabilization roll and take better.

Challenge(Ex): 2/day. Swift action, deal +lvl in damage to target. -2 to Defense v. non-challenge foes.

Iaijutsu Strike(Ex): Deal +1d6 damage with full round action against challenge target. Damage increases every 2 levels after first. Weapon must be sheathed before strike is made. -4 to Defense until next turn. Can be used 1/day on each challenge target.

Brutal Slash(Ex): Add +1/2 samurai level to enemy's critical defense check DC when critical threat is rolled on iaijutsu strike.

Terrifying Iaijutsu(Ex): Successful iaijutsu strike forces Will save v. fear in 30 ft radius. Failure makes enemy shaken for 1d4+1 rounds. DC=14 (10+1/2lvl+Cha mod).

Resolve(Ex): 3/day.
-Spend w/standard action to remove fatigued, shaken, or
sickened.
-Spend w/immediate action to roll twice on Fort or Will save
and take better.
-Spend w/immediate action to stabilize and remain conscious when
reduced to less than 0 HP, but not slain. Staggered, no damage
taking standard actions.

Weapon Expertise(Ex)[katana]: Draw chosen weapon as free action, as if with Quick Draw. +2 to enemy's critical defense check with chosen weapon. Samurai levels stack with fighter levels for prerequisites of feats that specifically choose chosen weapon (e.g. Weapon Specialization).
