About Cynder'asti

Aloof and glowering, just and biding, eternal and judging. Cynder'asti, an adopted affectation meaning "of the Flame" in the local and ancient dialect of his birthplace among the tall spires of ElderReach, has spent the best part of his youth under the harsh tutelage of sequestered Priests of Asmodeus. They claim, righteously so, that they were guided to the place of his birth by the God-Fiend himself through vision and signs. Their sole task to shape the young evoker into a keystone by which the Prince of Law's final gift to the world could be received. The Cynder'asti, to date, has been a disappointment.

While their teachings of Law and the order of the world was well received, he never did take wholly to the precipice of darkness. He is not what one would consider "good" by any great measure either. On the whole he remains filled with fanciful thoughts of a balance wherein good and evil are merely romantic impressions of small folk; order and the rule of Law are all that matter in the end. And only the most powerful among men and gods alike can create the laws that bind us.

Upon the eve of his 150th name-day he made quite an impression upon his masters, however, and their screams in turn made quite an impression on much of that secluded countryside. He had judged the foul and fallen priests to have been failures and louts to the man. It will be many an age gone before the locals forget to scare children into behaving with tales of the Cynder'asti who could turn night into day with but a curse from his lips.

Since that night, and the subsequent loss of his favor and powers from the Dark One, he has been training on his own in the wizardly arts as an Evoker. His talent for spells involving flames is uncanny and the results visually spectacular.

Order begets order. My word is my bond. Chaos will destroy the world. Respect rank. I live by my code and I'll die by my code. Tradition must continue. Order is the foundation of all culture. I am my own judge.
