Hey all, just stopping by to say Hi, I obviously wasn't able to get back to teh game, apologies. Hope you guys are still having fun without Cutlass' big mouth! Luckily I know with the other bard in the party, the loss wasn't too difficult...
A Drunken sailor walks past
"Yarrr, they should just be mak'n her walk d'plank!"
Happy Talk like a Pirate day!
when it rains it pours, so out of work for 4 months, now I have as much as I can do over the next 3 weeks. So I will likely be missing days, I missed the last two days because I did around 20 hours of CAD Work. Perhaps Cutlass has caught the ick now, or if you wish write me out. I'm definitely not going to be doing much over the next few weeks, I'll be hard pressed to run the game I'm running, and keep up with my blog.
Seeing Amisi rush in Cutlass steps 5' and begins to summon a fire beetle into the midst of the battle.
Kallakhan will summon a creature to attack the monster as well, can anyone else bring forth such creatures?
"I was....indisposed...I tink Kallakan ate too many berries last night!"
After listening to the others
"Spores they get in the nose yes? Then when we hack, put some cloth over our mouths and nose like a veil."
Cutlass finally catches up with the others, standing at the base of the ridge. Then hearing the scuffle at the top of the ridge he scrambles up the ridge.

NP, let me catch up with where we are and I'll get back to posting.
Setebo: Thanks, tell your friends! Yeah I need to modify it to widescreen format, that's on my list of stuff to do, I need to catch up on my html, so I can modify the blogspot template.
My apologies, I have been very, very busy, with Comic Con and Gam3rCon with my new RPG blog, and a project kicking off for actual work. Let me know if you would like me to drop out after so long away
"I be "Cutlass" Kallakan, I hail from Mwangi, though I be captured by slavers at an early age. The ship that were carrying us to d'Markets in Katapesh was attacked by Pirates, them pirates took the entire crew and the captives prisoner. If not for the mournful song I sang, I woulda been sold too, but The captain, heard me song and loved me voice, he took me on as cabin boy, where I served many years til I be grown. And grow I did, by Besmara, I learned the sea shanties and wrote me own, I learn to handle blade and me whips" at which point he pulls one of his whips and with a quick flick of the wrist uproots a sapling. "Low we came to dis stretch o'land looking to take on supplies, but a great beast in the waters attacked as we approached, it broke the spine o'me captain's ship, I be the only survivor methinks."
"Setebo be your name? What be your story? You be look'n and act'n odd, what be you?"
My kids are out of school now, so sometimes it's hard to update my games every day.

Cutlass can heal with his remaining spells for the day if need be.
he hasn't used any spells for the day, so he can cast 3 Cure lights as required

Kallakan watches Satebo for quite a while, wondering what it is, and thinking upon how he would be very useful upon a ship, climbing riggings, and such. Kallakan then goes about setting camp, realizing how similar setting camp is to life aboard ship, as everyone has a job to do, no master at arms though, which is good....
Kallakan begins to sing a sea shanty to help everyone in their labors.
"Kallakan does not want the venom, too easy to poison myself with that, I'll just be using me whips and short short."
cutlass will see about helping the poisoned. He can't really do much for them, not many spiders on ships, mostly blistered hands and sea sickness...and that's mostly handled by the ship's priest. Besmara is a fickle wench of a goddess.
Kallakan will look for additional spiders before assisting with the cocoons.
"I be not liking these oversized vermin, give me sailors to face any day, Besmara be appeased."
Cutlass will draw his short sword and charge the last spider!
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Cutlass will hurl a dagger at the spider

"Oh dees stretchers be look'n almost as good as de fine lasses in de camp."
"Well I will try my best, Kallakan be not the best at building a stretcher, might look more like a boat.." He says with his booming voice and a jovial laugh.
Back at the camp, Cutlass spends time with both Helga, and his camp lass.

Helga Evadottir Alfchild wrote: "And they say us Ulfen are warlike," Helga sighs and steps between Cutlass and Natalyah.
"If there is a tribe who will attack us, they will find us if we do not leave soon, yes? To leave we must build a ship, or attract one. We cannot build one fast enough, I am thinking, and only by the beacon can we attract one.
"Now if the beacon attracts one, we may be saved, or they may be pirates seeking slaves, yes? If it attracts a tribe, they may be cannibals, or they may be friendly, yes? But without a ship, we never leave, and the tribe will find us soon or late, regardless.
"So we can sit and wait to see if the gods will rescue us, or we can try and rescue ourselves. Maybe a beacon will attract a ship, or maybe a tribe, and maybe the tribe will be friendly if we talk to them right, who knows? But we will not know if we do not light the beacon, yes?"
Helga laughs suddenly.
"So, if it be a ship of pirates or tribe of man-eating men, then at least we may die at a time and place of our choosing, yes? And make our killers pay dearly for the cost of our meat! And maybe the gods will take notice, and we will live - and if not, first one to Valhalla to buy the drinks, yes?"
"HAH! Natalya's bark is bigger den her bite. Nata, I merely state the truth, t'is the way I be, me be tink'n you don' be likin' dat, mebbe b'coz Kallakan's words ring true? When we do be light'n de bea'con, we just be't'er be ready for action, if you know I be say'n. Cutlass be liking you Helda, you tink like Kallakan, mus' be de singer's heart no?"
Cutlass be tink'ing we stay on de island and kill all the inhabitants, let the respawn and Ding, level to around 11 and teleport off this rock...j/k

San Diego, it was our first Steam Punk Con...it was fun. Look up Epic RPG Blog on facebook for my photos.

I'll give Cutlass until this evening to respond and then make an DMPC post for him
sorry here. was sick on Monday/Tuesday, worn out after the Steam Punk Convention.
Cutlass has whips...whips don't threaten...and I doubt I can trip a crab.
Cutlass, realizing he can't use his whip against something so large, draws his short sword and buckler. Then advances on the creature, in a defensive stance

just keeps getting better, lost my job on Friday, been getting everything ready to try to get a new job...fun fun fun.
Kallakan's Climb check is +1, -1 for studded, so DC10 Climb is doable. HE takes 10 following up, watching for enemies up until the time he goes down.
can we assist Amisi by showing her where to grab handholds?

QUOTE: Aery's thinks your a womanising Goat, Sasha is sharing your bedroll and the three male NPC's are currently neutral. The NPC interaction is more a whole party thing than one on one but Nat is pushing the envelope..she hasn't burst it yet though
Well he IS a SAILOR afterall...woman in every port...guess Sasha is my woman in this port, I'll start playing it up a bit more toward that end
I guess Kallakan missed out on the early NPC team building, and I didn't realize he should be creating relationships. How have the individual NPCs been reacting to him (this hasn't been indicated). He does have a 16 Charisma afterall.
"Good, bad, we just be needing t'be on our guard. Like we always be."
Sorry for my absence, hectic with my school appication, I was accepted to NewSchool of Architecture, now I'm getting my portfolio for advanced placement. DMPC if I drop off the radar at times.
