If there is a spell you REALLY like and intend on investing some traits and feat s in then you can always get round the above with:

Preferred Spell (APG)

You find it very easy to cast one particular spell.

Prerequisites: Spellcraft 5 ranks, Heighten Spell.

Benefit: Choose one spell which you have the ability to cast. You can cast that spell spontaneously by sacrificing a prepared spell or spell slot of equal or higher level. You can apply any metamagic feats you possess to this spell when you cast it. This increases the minimum level of the prepared spell or spell slot you must sacrifice in order to cast it but does not affect the casting time.

Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a different spell.

Nice. Thanks again.

I'm thinking of making a menhir savant druid. I'm wondering, can you memorize the domain bonus spells in non-domain spell slots?

I'm thinking these spells are treated like bonus spells with sorcerers....

I haven't found anything that says i can't.

See cleric (domains) they state the rules on domain just as rogue states the rules on sneak attack:

"Each domain grants a number of domain powers, dependent upon the level of the cleric, as well as a number of bonus spells. A cleric gains one domain spell slot for each level of cleric spell she can cast, from 1st on up. Each day, a cleric can prepare one of the spells from her two domains in that slot. If a domain spell is not on the cleric spell list, a cleric can prepare it only in her domain spell slot. Domain spells cannot be used to cast spells spontaneously."

So no you cannot. You can use higher domain slots for lower domain spells if there is a lower one you want more than one off.

Thanks for the clarification....

I just got the undine gm boon. I've been looking into what i want to do with this undine.

My idea:
Undine druid (menhir savant archetype) with fire domain spells
+ 1 level of water elemental sorcerer.

My question:
Would this character be able to change the fire spells from the druid into water spells by using the elemental sorcerer's ability to switch any elemental descriptor to water?

Thanks!

I played a half-orc slayer 1st level last night. All in all, I liked the class. But it felt like a 1st level ranger instead of having roguish feeling. The favored target ability was pretty cool. I think the sneak attack should be given at 1st level and every 4th level after that. I could have really used something extra with this character.

I really wanted to take the arcanist for a test drive but someone already had taken it. But I'm glad that I got to play this class. I've always liked rogue type classes.

I had no problems with the favored target ability. Use it while out of combat, then move in and start attacking.
