Click The shuttle ran left, the lay dropped down, clack the shuttle ran right. Click left Clack, right. Click clack, click clack.
Elder Sen switched shuttles, click clack click clack click clack then switched again. ”Oh yes, this will be quite zuzzy when it is done.” Elder Sen made up words almost as often as she made the bolts of fabric. The shuttle raced back and forth as she rocked rhythmically right and left to catch it and send it back. Before long the bolt was reaching 45 colorful, cheery, ’zuzzy’ feet.
Weaving was a necessary evil—no one had time to build fabric the old fashioned way. Fortunately Elder Sen had seen illustrations of looms from Nantambu, Goku and Oppara among other places. She was good at deegreemig—drawing things in such a way that assembling them came easy. Easy easier with her newly discovered ability to draw things directly in the air without a need for brush or ink. Indeed these illustrations often worked better, because her hand did not have to translate what her mind saw.
She was able to take the illustrations from across Golarian and adapt them to her needs.
Elder Sen remembers the world of Golarian, remembers the entire Golarian. Somedays she can still hear it calling to her. Other times she feels it, pulling on her like the uprights tightening on the threads. Always she remembers when the world shattered. The shattering twisted on her memories, tugged at her mind, burned at her hands.
The shuttle clattered to the floor. Elder Sen shook out her fingers, shaking out the burning sensation that was not really there. ”Oh No. That is not very cheery thought.” she said to no one but the loom. ”No one has time for un-cheery thoughts.” Still these thoughts often came when she was deep in a weaving rhythm, and the thoughts always brought the burning sensation.
Realizing a goblin may not make the best choice in this adventure I have left that part neutral. Below are the stats as rolled, as a goblin, human and kobold (since they were mentioned). That said a goblin who avoided the politics of the tribe, might have skipped any destruction at the PCs hands. The asterisks are things that will change pending approval on the ancestry/bloodline. Elder Sen is a shepherd and an inventor. Most of her contraptions take more work than they save, but she tinkers with them all the same. The connection to the shattering, as seen through the rhythms of weaving has recently turned into sorcerer magic, though she doesn’t know this. She uses silent image to make exploding diagrams and complex weaving patterns.
