Cristiano was born and raised the third child out of four to the Lintini family in Venice. His father, Raffiano, owns and operates a caravan company that has trade routes through most of Italy as well as into neighboring countries. His mother, Elizabeta, owns a modestly successful apothecary, selling herbal remedies, spices, and the occasional talisman to ward off evil. Most of her wares are acquired by Cristiano's younger brother, Zilo, who is a traveling brew master, and also trades in all the commodities their mother sells. Their older sister Cassandra runs a dance hall that puts on a monthly performance and hosts the occasional private party. Meanwhile, the eldest Lintini sibling, Uberto, is the head of a rather successful construction company which has operated in Venice for several generations. Lintini Construction may not get all of the most lucrative of contracts, but it does get its fair share and is rather reputable. Finally, Cristiano himself owns a gambling den that sees a decent amount of high end clientele.
What many residents of the Floating City are unaware of is that the Lintini family is related to the Ansora family, and their legitimate businesses are a front for more unsavory and illegal dealings. The caravan company doubles as both an overland smuggling operation as well as being highwaymen. Eliza also deals in poisons and drugs alongside her more benign offerings. Finally, the dance hall is also brothel after hours with some rather exclusive patronage. While this is known to the general populace, all sorts of illicit activities take place there. Only the construction company is on the up and up, thoigh the contacts Uberto has made definitely further the darker side of the family business.
When Cristiano isn't personally entertaining guests at the Blurred Mongoose, he sometimes accompanies his father's caravans or will tag along with Zilo as he roams the countryside. Thus, the young man has a fair amount of contacts in nearby cities and locales, which of course furthers his families dealings, both legal and otherwise.
