About Colin Valerin Thelas

Colin grew up in Liberthane in the River Kingdoms, amongst stories of bravery and virtue. His mother, like all her family, seemed blessed with a silver tongue and a beautiful voice, and it was said a few kind words from her could convince would-be combatants to lay down their arms for more peaceful solutions. She was well-liked by the paladins of Liberthane, but in the end, her heart was stolen by a traveler headed south from Mormouth, a man quick of wit and quicker on his feet, with a talent for magic and alchemy.

Not surprisingly, Colin picked up many things from his parents: a beauiful voice, a kind heart, a knack for magic, a thirst for knowledge, and a restless soul in need of answers that could only be found beyond the borders of Fort Liberthane. He traveled to Pitax to enroll in the College, but the rough town and the hollow academy left him feeling disillusioned. While there he met a group of travellers from Andoran who had been to Liberthane. They were part of a group called the Pathfinder Society. In their tales, Colin heard echoes of a world he very much wanted to see, and decided in the end to go with them.

Primarily an artist and scholar, Colin can be a bit naive at times, but he is a quick study, and has a talent for knowing when people are being dishonest. He can talk his way into or out of just about any situation, and if things do escalate, he's got his magic and his music to back him up. He has his mother's gift for seeing the best in people, and often assists the Silver Crusade in their quests, though he has also acted in support of Andoran a time or two, as their belief in fighting for freedom has long been a part of stories he's known since his childhood in Liberthane.
