Background:
Clebsch is a tall, strong young man with brown and blond hair, light beard, and blue eyes. Clebsch's father is a master horse breeder in Absalom. Clebsh was being groomed for taking over the family business. Like all young men of wealthy families, Clebsch got the best equipment and trained as a fighter, serving for a time in the reserve Absalom defense army. During his time in Absalom, Clebsch made the acquaintance of a Halfling rogue named Alphie, who told such delightful stories of his time as a Pathfinder, that Clebsch decided he would join the Pathfinders and work with the Exchange Faction to build contacts across the Inner Sea for when he would eventually return and take over the family horse farm.
Clebsch has a happy-go-luck attitude that things will work out for the best. He enjoys dancing and drinking and fighting, making him a popular fellow.
Fighter Class Features:
Class Skills: Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (dungeoneering) (Int), Knowledge (engineering) (Int), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).
Skill Ranks Per Level: 2 + Int modifier.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
A fighter is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with all armor (heavy, light, and medium) and shields (including tower shields).
Feats:
Level 1: Animal Affinity
You are skilled at working with animals and mounts.
Benefit: You get a +2 bonus on all Handle Animal and Ride skill checks. If you have 10 or more ranks in one of these skills, the bonus increases to +4 for that skill.
Level 1 (human bonus): Mounted Combat (Combat)
You are adept at guiding your mount through combat.
Prerequisite: Ride 1 rank.
Benefit: Once per round when your mount is hit in combat, you may attempt a Ride check (as an immediate action) to negate the hit. The hit is negated if your Ride check result is greater than the opponent's attack roll.
Level 1 (fighter bonus): Weapon Focus (Longsword) (Combat)
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus on all attack rolls you make using the selected weapon.
Special: You can gain this feat multiple times. Its effects do not stack. Each time you take the feat, it applies to a new type of weapon.
Traits:
Armor Expert: You have worn armor as long as you can remember, either as part of your training to become a knight’s squire or simply because you were seeking to emulate a hero. Your childhood armor wasn’t the real thing as far as protection, but it did encumber you as much as real armor would have, and you’ve grown used to moving in such suits with relative grace. When you wear armor of any sort, reduce that suit’s armor check penalty by 1, to a minimum check penalty of 0.
Mathematical Prodigy: Mathematics has always come easily for you, and you have always been able to “see the math” in the physical and magical world. You gain a +1 bonus on Knowledge (arcana) and Knowledge (engineering) checks, and one of these skills [Knowledge(Engineering)] is always a class skill for you.
