Thank you for running the game, @GM Aerondor! Much appreciated. Sorry I was a bit quiet. I have a hard time playing pregens for some reason. I just can't get into their minds as well as I can PCs I've created.

"Quite a lot, actually. There was another ship already there, filled with ghosts and videos of lover's trysts. Then we found a beacon and got the information off of it before chasing off a corpse fleet ship that had come for the dead ship. I got to hit things and shoot a plasma cannon, taking HUGE chunks out of that Eoxian ship before they turned tail. It was glorious!"

As the other ship tried to blast past them, Chivix fired off a snap shot to try and take out the port nacelle.

My posting ability is all over the place these days, so instead of waiting I went ahead and posted. Please don't let my actions change how you would play your character

"Come to papa! Don't think you can challenge Chivix Vellero and his crew without consequence!"

As he slid sideways in the gunner's chair, Chivix called out, "Hey, Jack, buddy, mind not trying to throw me across the deck every time I line up a shot? This will go a lot easier if you let me kill him before you run us into an asteroid!"

plasma cannon: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
damage: 5d12 ⇒ (3, 3, 9, 5, 8) = 28

As Jackalore got the ship into position, Chivix lined up the plasma cannon onto the enemy and fired.

damage: 5d12 ⇒ (8, 5, 1, 11, 8) = 33

Thanks for botting. My computer has been down.

Chivix sat down at the controls to the forward weaponry and familiarized himself with them. When the enemy ship declared their intent to attack, Chivix lined them up in the crosshairs and pulled the trigger, only to be thrown sideways as Jac slewed the ship around in evasive maneuvers.

plaasma cannon: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
damage: 5d12 ⇒ (2, 4, 11, 6, 3) = 26

Pretty sure Chivix is taking a gunnery spot

Umm...WE are in a corpse fleet ship and should be treated with all caution. Not sure if anyone remembered that.

"If it's a question of grabbing the data and running back to the ship, or fighting unknowns parties on this frozen iceball, then I could use the exercise!"

Chivix Vellero grabbed what he could and began to beat feet bock to the ship.

"Yeah, let's grab the beacon and the rest of the stuff and get back to the ship."

Chivix will snag the useful items off the bodies, then attempt to place them in sort sort of gentle repose position. That done, he is ready to head back to the ship.

Chivix set his feet and lashed out again with his fist, this time connecting with a hard blow. "Hah! You thought I'd be offput by the ice, but little did you know I used to go glacier hiking at the poles of Castrovel when I was a pup!"

vs EAC: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28
A&B damage: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (3, 3) + 14 = 20

When the fog cleared, Chivix had his first good look at the creatures they were fighting...and they didn't look pretty. Keeping his shield up, the vanguard struck at the one before him with a mighty uppercut enhanced by his entropic strike. But, his boot slipped on the icy rocks, and instead of the powerful uppercut, he slid to one knee, torquing his back in a painful way.

attack vs EAC: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
A and B damage: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 5) + 14 = 21

Chivix moved blindly through the fog, homing in on his companions' positions more than anything else. As soon as he felt he was next to the enemy, he angled his shield.

Move into melee, soaking eh aoo, then angling shield towards enemy.

"Probably died of exposure." Vellero continued to keep his shield at the ready as he scanned the bodies for sign of the cause of death.

Chivix landed as soon as they got to the top, and trudged towards both the bodies and the beacons.

Chivix brought his shield up, ready to stand defense should the bodies spring to life, or whatever.

"Where's the beacon? Is it over by the bodies? These the engineers from the ship?"

"I have a jetpack too. I bet we can all get up there if needed."

"Beacon, what beacon? We didn't hear an emergency beacon when we came in, did we? Did they screw with Rasheen's trail beacon? If they've thrown us off our pursuit, I'm gonna be really angry!"

Have we scoured the entire ship now?

culture: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28

Chivix double checked that his radiation seals were intact before heading back into the room to try and retrieve the computer.

"Do we need the information on that computer? I didn't seem to be affected by whatever was in there, but I don't know squat about computers. Can I just grab it and drag it out here?"

"What is in this room? You don't look too good, Sefel. Let's just grab anything that isn't bolted down and look at this stuff somewhere else."

Chivix grabs the relief map and checks his suit diagnostics for radiation or some other reason why they were feeling sick.

Any check necessary?

Chivix poked his head into the central quarters and decided this looked like Officer Country. Nicer furnishing and decor, anyways. He pointed out the artistic map rendition. "We're definitely following in someone's footsteps here."

perception central quarters: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

Going to Engineering, he was about to open the door when Sefel stopped him. After Sefel had disabled the rune, Chivix entered, ready to search or fight, and leaning towards the latter.

"We got another body, here." Chivix moved into the room, scanning and searching, and ready for the body to rise up and attack."

perception engineering: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25

"Yeah, yeah, romance and all. Does it get us anything? If not, let's keep moving on. I think the officer quarters might be over here."

Chivix Vellero moved to the next door and popped it open.

CHivix stared around at the port crew quarters, admiring the great party that occurred here.

perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15

When they arrived at the other rooms, he checked around there as well.

"Books! Well, I guess we know where the fun crew lives, and where the rest hang out. Of course, the blood on the floor there says a slightly different story."

Chivix looked more closely around the room, especially at the swords, for other signs of blood or violence, or anything really.

perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

"Oh, are we ready to go? Excellent! I was getting bored standing guard while you all fiddled with those computers."

As soon as they are ready to move out, Chivix will walk in the lead, confident his bulk will protect the rest of the group.

"Sounds like we are on the right track, anyways. And attacked by a small ship? Interesting. So, is it a race?"

The dice roller can hate me all it wants if it lets you guys keep doing that!

"I'll stand watch if you guys need to rest."

Chivix parks himself in the hall just outside the door and scans the area.

"That's right, ghostie! Chivix has you right where he wants you!"

Chivix lashed out again, taunting the ghost and trying to keep it off his companions. He kept that shield up, this time covering Bluuu as much as possible.

Chivix hauled off and smacked the creature again with his entropic strike, noting that the energy damage was hurting the creature, but only partially. That's okay. A partial blow from Chivix was still painful, he was certain. He angled his shield directly at the ghost, trying to protect Don as he did.

Chivix charged down the hallway, angling his shield into the...ghost? He concentrated just a moment until he could feel a buzzing around his left hand, then thrust it at the spirit. His entropic field met the incorporeal form and he felt a slight resistance.

"Don't worry, Jack, I'm coming!" Chivix called out to his bug friend as he raced out of the bridge and into the hall. As he moved, an energy shield blossomed from his left arm. It formed into a large riot shield and he held it up in front of him.

While Sefel was working with the computers, Chivix kept his eye out for danger or interesting things.

"So, do we go room by room? Or head straight to the bridge?"

Guys I want to apologize. I didn't think paizocon was going to consume so much of my time this week, or I wouldn't have signed up for this game. Now that it's done I can dedicate my time to my PBP games again.

Chivix blustered his way along, not really contributing to the conversation, but letting his suit mostly protect him from the elements.

"Yes. yes. Keep moving. Exercise is a good combat to the cold!"

Guys, I am so sorry. I put up a bunch of posts saying I was going to be doing paizocon this week and that I would be slow to post...only I forgot to submit

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Chivix walked in from the galley, tearing into a large chunk of something on a bone. "Oh, we're here. Cool. Well, more than cool. Planar cold does not sound like fun. Hope your suit environmentals are fully charged boys and bugs!"

"Does this thing have some kind of scanners or something? Can we check out them and the derelict ship?"

"Not the Corpse Fleet? I never thought about that being an issue. Of course we're not the Corpse Fleet, but people will run away from us anyways. I hope they take us up on our offer for help!"

As a pregen I have no boons to supply

Chivix looked at the tentacle, then slapped it with an open hand and did some odd finger movements. "Pleased ta meetcha!"

There was a commotion at the door and a bulky lashunta staggered in, panting slightly as he tried to catch his breath. He was big for a lashunta, with the kind of bulk that signified a heavy exercise regimen and an even heavier drinking and eating one.

"Sorry I'm late. Been...um...exercising. What'd I miss?"

The exercise was likely peeling his eyelids off his sore eyeballs, for the lashunta had all the classic signs of a really nasty hangover.

"Name's Chivix Velloro, by the way. Cool map."

Vanguard it is then!

I'll hop into the gameplay and post up!
