We know from the past blog & Twitch stream that the three 'themes' and level brackets for Year 3 are:

Low Level: dealing with Near Space and Veskarium concerns
Mid Level: exploring The Vast, and starships
High Level: tying up loose ends, especially Athaeum, and maybe meandering by Aucturn?

Anyone want to take a stab at matching images or motifs to level range themes?

Low level - Near Space -> The ringed planet

Mid Level - Starships -> The Gorgon
High Level - Athaeum & the Hellknights -> the claw at the top.

A solid and earnest look at living within the dictates of a somewhat unusual faith. Also, divine spells that are half prayer and half cursing your own deity are the best.

Hmmm... I just thought of a new character... thanks for that, Chiaroscuro :-D

In repayment, ensure that during a stand-off when both are being brandished, they say "Ah. I see you've played Knifey-Bookey before" ...

So, did anyone else notice the shout out to succubus-on-succubus art in the boilerplate?

Very bottom of Page 2 "... Printed in China. Ayavah was right all along!"

*sigh* Now I need to compulsively review the boilerplate and credits of every Adventure Path pdf to see what else crops up......

Dungeon crawl. A straight up loot the tomb/ruin story. I think it would help ground how being a resident of Golarion views treasure hunting as a legitimate occupation. Maybe a bit of Aspis or Pathfinder rivalry in the mix.

I have always believed that the money I place in pre-orders is money spent on potential. It is an investment in the dreams that people and companies try to bring into the world. Sometimes that investment pays off, and sometimes it doesn't. Never the less, if there remains the shadow of a chance that those Sinister dreams can be made real, then I shall stay invested in that hope.

Good luck!

Just wanted to chime in and say that having lived in the real-world equivalent of the Crown of the World's Outer Rim for much of my life, the warm soul-glow from dreams of being able to subject poor unsuspecting players to harsh Arctic perils may be the best thing to stave off the cold this winter.

Kudos on the sharp, sharp work translating both the culture of my Inuit neighbours, and the stark beauty found in adventuring across my home into Golarion!

While I've not yet had time to digest this little gem enough for more comprehensive thoughts, I do want to quickly chime in on the topic of the layout.

I am a HUGE fan of the landscape view. I do the bulk of my non-gaming table reading (which, to be honest, is more than my gaming table reading) on a computer or ebook reader, and the landscape layout makes this such a better reading experience.

I was wondering the cost to subscribe to every thing. The adventure paths, core books, campaign setting, player companion, modules maps, and cards.

I do not know what the release schedule looks like so I can not calculate it.

Dose any one subscribe to all of these?

I do. Depending on the given month, it usually runs me about $70 to $90. Granted that includes shipping & applicable taxes, so as always YMMV.

Floruit’s Lullaby
Aura moderate enchantment; CL 7th
Slot --; Price 58,800 gp; Weight --
Description
First composed by the bard Floruit when he sought to infuse mystical energies into everything he played, this lullaby draws all who hear it into enchanted sleep. Appearing on fine vellum, this intricately inscribed piece of sheet music displays notes that seem to shift and change when read. When held by someone capable of producing supernatural music, the notation resolves itself into a composition suitable for any instrument the bard favors (including vocals).

Anyone with the bardic performance ability can play Floruit’s Lullaby as if it were a performance type he had mastered. To be affected, creatures must be within 30 feet and able to hear the bard. The distraction of nearby combat or other dangers prevents a creature from being affected. Those failing a DC 14 Will saving throw fall into a magical slumber that persists as long as the bard continues performing and for 2 rounds afterwards. This is a compulsion and mind-affecting effect. Sleeping creatures are helpless. Any attack or damage awakens a sleeping creature, but normal noise does not. Awakening a creature requires an aid another action that provokes an attack of opportunity.
Construction
Requirements Craft Wondrous Item, deep slumber, creator must be a 7th-level bard; Cost 29,400 gp

Yessss....... Taldor is too gauche, and Cheliax too rigid for properly decadent aristocracy. Ah, but the boudoirs of Ustalav... Wink and a handshake to enter the back room of a lodge filled with bored rakes and ladies seeking scandal, oblivious to the gothic terrors behind the libertine veil.

For my home game, I've consolidated and converted a psionic mind flayer from the 3.5 MM , XPH, and Lords of Madness. It's the mind flayer I want to run.

I've been really impressed with the quality of Paizo's monster design. I should have my copy of Into the Darklands in a few days, just because the seugathi sounds like cool monsters. And my mind flayer NPC will probably have a vivarium full of torbles.

All in all, I think it's better for the folks at Paizo to be dreaming up new horrors than retreading other companies' IP.

On the flip-side, there's also the stats for the 'Mind Grub Collective' from Malhavoc Press' Hyperconscious & the v3.5 update of If Thoughts Could Kill. Jumped to mind, as it was slotted in to replace the Mind Flayer as a villain in that adventure once Illithids were pulled from open content.

The question: Does oracle of [thing] #1 have to have the same flaw as oracle of [thing] #2? If say... Sampson is another oracle of strength, I don't think he has the same flaws as Hercules.

Samson is perhaps a better example of an Oracle of Strength. He has direct flaws & stipulations built into his great prowess. He has to abstain from alcohol, can't shave or cut his hair, and follow the other provisions of being a Nazirite. While he's obviously not described as casting spells, whenever he preforms a great feat, the narrative describes the Spirit of God moving through him & empowering him, a reliable analog for instinctive divine spellcasting...

And, aside from ANYTHING else, the narrative of Samson culminates in a sacrifice to Dagon! Dagon! Can't get a better tie in than that.

So, if I subscribe to the RPG line, I'll get a PDF of the book. If it's like any other Paizo Subscription, it seems that I could subscribe just for the core book (and maybe Bestiary), then cancel my subscription, netting me the PDFs without continuing fees. Is that right?

Yes, this is correct. We'll hope you stick around for the other stuff, but you are free to cancel your subscription at any time.

Soo.... Last things last, when will the Titanic Games subscription happen? Might as well go for the Monty Haul....

Actually... no.

We cannot merge non-subscription items (order 951332) with subscription shipments (order 935654) at this time. This is a functionality we are working on bringing to our subscribers, but it is not yet available.

thanks,
cos

Ah... For whatever reason I thought that'd already been done. Mayhaps because everytime I turn around y'all have already implemented things I'd ask for. :)

Well, c'est la vie.

Thanks for the swift response,

Well, I can't say I disagree with you. As an aside, I took an essentially opposite tack to things, and layered on a music flavour to the Akashic, the skill-based class from Arcana Unearthed/Evolved. Monte Cook's class there allowed for some leeway in how you used the class's "tap into world memory' ability...

How about more on the economic side of things (even some basic info would be helpful)...The Farming District from the Skinsaw Murders has about 64 Acres (1/2 of which is likely available for grain crop).

That means about 6 tons of Wheat grain in produce (5 tons in surplus).

Basically the PCs decided to manipulate the regional economy (Create shortages and starve out a few towns) - making the region vulnerable to their own machinations.

But if Paizo gives out this information, I can't see anyone but you benefitting. I'm pretty sure close to no one needs lots of economic info.

Well, its still close to no one, but I also would dig economic info... Dune Trader for Dark Sun was one of my favorite accessories for the setting. The PCs being the founders of a new trading coster is a fantastic leap-off to boat-loads of adventuring fun.

.... The careful mapping of trade routes, the thrill of double-book ledger entries, the rage at having to beat a gelugon over the head with said ledger after devilish machinations destroy your contracts & records....

Good day! Just got this order in the mail, and it seems to have been shorted 'The Anubis Murders', and 'City of the Beast'. The RotRL Item Cards arrived, as did 'Black God's Kiss' & J2.

In any event, could you roll those 2 books into my currently waiting order?

Appreciative thanks in advance.

This has been my nom de plume since I started writing, about 15 years ago. It's italian in origin, literally lightdark. Usually used in art to refer to the use of shadows & light to create depth in paintings. The notion of contrast immediately appealed to me, as does the fact that the depth is illusory, masking the flat & shallow.

Magnifico! Fantastico! Splendido, even! My monthly allotment of Paizo books is the only thing that makes northern exile bearable!

Profuse thanks and well wishes!

Good day and happy holidays!

I was wondering if you could add The Anubis Murders & City of the Beast to this pending order (it's my monthly shipment). Further, just to needlessly complicate things, could you apply the $3.00 store credit I have, and the holiday promo I got from my christmas shipment?

Apologies for the multilayered request clogging up your queue.

Much obliged.

You know.... Aside from the whole 'sensitivity to light' thing, I found the mutants to be far more ghoul-like in their behaviour than vampire. Considering their bestial nature they do have a pack mentality on the go, most especially when they're being led the the smarter 'alpha' mutant. Next time I run an encounter against a small horde of ghouls, I think I'll actually have them bodily throwing themselves against doors and barred windows to get at the crunchy victims cowering inside.

Good day,

Just looking for a quick bit of clarification, these three orders are listed separately, but shouldn't 846532 (My Pathfinder subscription) and 831375 (My GameMastery subscription) be a single order? Likewise, I've selected the 'single monthly shipment option, so shouldn't 847969 (TC1) also be rolled in? Just asking because PF4 is listed as shipped, but neither of the other two are, and in previous months, it was only ever a single order.

Thank you kindly.

Dataphiles

Good day,

Would you cancel my pre-order for the GameMastery Treasure Chest? I ended up receiving most of its constituent components, so I just rolled up a fresh order for the adventure itself.

Much obliged.

Northern Canada. Roving from Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories, to the north shore of Labrador. Paizo should be well pleased that they have reached even to the very ends of the earth.
